does not accept linux
I'm not questioning the product, but I'm sorry it's not linux compatible. (I didn't pay enough attention to the product description)

I often use this brand, which is very reliable.
The box works and does what is required.
I would recommend
Great product, it doesn't heat up.
The only negative point is the foam that comes with it,
The only negative is the foam that comes with it, the sticky one I had to take off because the case doesn't close with my little 2.5" hard drive, and now it closes without a problem and doesn't move.
But first try with the foam and if it doesn't close try without.
Very good value for money, no tools required to install the disc, 7mm disc adapter, shockproof case and USB 3 connectivity: nothing to complain about! When installed on a DVB-T tuner to make an HD-TV recorder, it does the job perfectly.
The casing feels solid and the flexible protection is reassuring.
No problems with the installation of the disc and the first few uses.
To be seen in the long term.
This case was recommended to me by the S A V, very good reception and advice.
The disc is not really well wedged in the case, so it must be handled with care, despite the silicone protection.
Installation not too complex, the whole thing seems solid (although made of plastic), the rubber reinforcements are welcome for possible shocks. The LED is discreet, but present.
To be seen in use.
Good case.
Nice finish. Easy to open. The cable seems to me to be well made.
The cable seems to be well made. Avoid it if you are looking for a sturdy case as this one is all plastic.
It's perfect for my xbox.
The case does a good job for the price, and the silicone protection is very welcome.
I'm very pleased with the customer service for recommending it to me, and it was delivered on time without any problems.
It works for HDDs as well as SSDs, or SHDDs like mine.
A box.... Particularly simplistic.
Which is not bad at all, because it will consume very little power, useful if you have an old HDD that consumes a bit of power, or an old PC that doesn't have much power on the USB.
The carbon imitation plastic case is not necessarily of the most beautiful effect, let's say that it will be able to make illusion from afar especially if you place the silicon protection shell.
Let's talk about this silicone protection.
The case being a case known as "without screw", and the quality of manufacture being rather unspecified, this protection is ultimately used as a lock for the case, in addition to offering a relative protection against the shocks.
Apart from that, it does its job, nothing to say about it, it is very correct for the price.
A decent box from a respected brand in the storage industry. Installation is quick, the price is more than good, and the little extra USB 3.0 is appreciated.
The only downside is that the connection on the case side is not standard, so you should never lose the supplied cable. A bit disappointed, this is the first time I see this change at IcyBox.
Nice little box.
Although it is made of plastic, the carbon look and the silicone shell give it a good look for this price.
The space for the hard drive is not too tight which allows you to put drives of different thicknesses (The space is 9.5mm thick and foams are provided to prevent it from moving (7mm SSD, etc...)
A small drawback is that the opening system is designed for an empty case. So once the hard drive is mounted inside, it is impossible to reopen without forcing on the plastic parts (beware of breakage!). Choose carefully the disk you want to put inside before closing it.
Very good throughput and supports SATA III with UASP chipset.
No messy software built into the chipset. Access to the drive is raw.
For those who want to install a mobile Windows, it is recognized at UEFI level.
The case is made of hard plastic imitating carbon but far from being well made.
The fixings are fragile as already mentioned.
The silicone cover gives a feeling of protection and finishes the product well.
It does the job but not much more.
The cable provided is very short.
At this price I was expecting a little better than that though.
The only thing is that it is reliable over time... only time will tell.
The silicone protection is good and thankfully it was there because the plastic fasteners that close the case are ULTRA FRAGILE. Without the protection I would have had to do a trick or two of black tape to make it stick! I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use a piece of paper on the inside of the case if you don't want the disc to wobble...
I'm not sure if it's a good one or not, but it's a very good one.
This case works well, and has the advantage that no tools are required to mount the hard drive. It is covered on all sides by a black silicone cover, revealing only one side. The black plastic case has a light original printed pattern.
I had no problems setting up the drive, it was recognised immediately.
