Hello. This is a new purchase of the same device. The packaging is correct, the case and its cable work perfectly. It can hold a 2.5" hard drive (or ssd).
The USB3 operation is correct, but the transfer speed also depends on the basic performance of the hard drive/ssd placed inside.
The only annoying thing is that the case is a bit too short. The disk/ssd fits inside, provided it is plugged into the sata connector... Mostly annoying when you remove it, you have to lift the disk/ssd so that it goes over the edge of the case. You need a small plastic tool to do this (for me).
A longer case would have made it easier to slide the disc/ssd back.
