QNAP's TL-R1200C-RP is a 2U RAID rack for 12 2.5"/3.5" hard disks or SSDs with multiple operating modes and redundant power supply. It can be used as an expansion unit by being connected to a NAS to expand storage capacity or directly to a PC or MAC for use as an external USB 3.1 enclosure.
Thanks to its 12 bays, the QNAP TL-R1200C-RP allows you to set up a storage and backup solution for your PC/Mac or NAS easily and quickly thanks to a simplified RAID configuration with the powerful and intuitive QNAP JBOD Manager software.
Multiple usage options
TheTL-R1200C-RP provides an alternative method for users to increase the storage capacity of their NAS. By connecting theTL-R1200C-RP to their NAS and using the Storage Manager and Snapshots in QTS or QuTS hero, users can easily configure and manage their storage expansion.
You can use the TL-R1200C-RP to expand the storage of your NAS. You can select the disks to create storage pools to expand the capacity of your NAS, or you can treat each disk as an individual external storage space and use it as a removable disk for greater flexibility.
You can use your TL-R1200C-RP with Windows, Mac, and Ubuntu computers to further increase storage space. You can set the RAID configuration of your TL-R1200C-RP to further secure data protection.
QNAP JBOD manager
QNAP JBOD Manager is a desktop application for monitoring the TL-R1200C-RP on Windows and Mac computers. You can quickly get and view information about JBOD status, integrity, fan speed and check for firmware version updates. All device events are logged and QNAP JBOD Manager will automatically send system alert notifications to your desktop.
High Speed USB Transfer
The TL-R1200C-RP includes high-speed USB 3.2 Type C connectivity and built-in UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol) to provide convenient and fast file sharing and data intensive transfers. Not only does the TL-R1200C-RP provide you with superior file transfer performance over traditional USB interfaces, it offers a more cost-effective option than REXP SAS JBOD.
You can achieve data protection by establishing a software RAID 0, RAID 1 and RAID 5 volume with a native utility in your Windows and Ubuntu computers, and use the QNAP JBOD Manager to monitor the status information of theTL-R1200C-RP.
