9/10 because nothing is perfect, even this NAS but it remains exceptional quality price. It's a great performer and with the SSD cache, the speed is excellent with the hard disks thanks to the so-called SSD cache. It's also possible to add 8gb of kingston RAM for less than 50euros which brings the NAS to 16GB of RAM. Possibility of having a virtual machine (VirtualBox). As a video maker, this NAS is perfect for storing camera exports thanks to its huge storage capacity.
The only drawback is that it only has 2 usb3 ports and no HDMI.

A scalable and fairly powerful NAS
This NAS is used to store the family's files, photos and movies.
The declaration of the network drive is done in a few seconds under Windows 10.
To increase the storage capacity by adding a disk, change the RAID level (RAID 5 to RAID 6 for example); you can get help from the many tutorials available on the manufacturer's website (asustor > online > college_topic; in French).
I first mounted four 10TB Seagate Exos X14 drives in RAID 5. I then added a 5th disk, still in RAID 5: The reconstruction, which was done in a background mode, took 24 hours.
In a second step, I added a 6th Exos 10TB disk to move to RAID 6 and increase security. The RAID 5 to RAID 6 migration, still in the background, took FOURTEEN DAYS! Hence the 1/2 star less. The Atom processor, even helped by 2 x 16GB of DDR4 RAM, is a bit slow.
The addition of NVMe SSDs to create a cache or RAM strips is very easy: three screws at the back and the NAS cover can be removed.
On the performance side, with six Seagate Exos 10TB disks in RAID 6 I get :
820 MB/s reading and 490 MB/s writing on large file transfers (1GB and more). To obtain these performances, my NAS is connected to the 10GBits network switch and to the computers, equipped with 10GBits network cards, with Cat. 7 or Cat. 8 cables.
The PLUS: 10 disk slots, intuitive system and a valuable help on the manufacturer website.
The MINUS: The capacity increase and especially the RAID level migration is slow.
