Second time I've bought it
Mounting on the AMD support is much more intuitive than for the previous time on an Intel socket. A perfect cooling watch for my Ryzen 9. Dead silent, of course, no more feeling like you're playing on an airport tarmac.

This ventirad is massive, so pay attention to the space available in your case. It is high enough to leave room for RAM modules, but you may need to invest in low-profile modules depending on your motherboard.
I had the equivalent on my old PC. This new version is perfect. Excellent cooling and no noise. However, there are 2 details to be aware of. There is a conduction tab included, a detail I never managed to find, hence the extra purchase. And once mounted, it takes up space to say the least. Beware of too short cases!
Easy to mount, quiet, and extremely efficient (mounted on a core i9 xtreme edition.
Does not exceed 65°, even with 36 threads using AVX512 instructions.
Better than the previous watercooling, which failed...
By far the best air cooling.
I've used it on 3 machines for several years. Even on my oldest machine (an Intel I7 3770k OC to the core for 7 years that runs every day) no worries (I just changed the thermal paste after 4 years just in case...)
The fixing system is exemplary and the instructions perfectly explained (assembly in 5 minutes on your motherboard)
After that, it's a bit huge! I use very large cases where the motherboard is horizontal to avoid the weight of the fan and the graphics card to force too much on the motherboard (thermaltake core X5 and its more modern descendants)
So if you have the space it's the best.
The ventirad is high enough to leave enough room for the RAM strips ... The LOW PROFILE is however strongly recommended.
This radiator is perfect and is an effective replacement for a watercooling system (kraken X40 with 2 silentwings)
among the good points :
- cooling performance
- quiet operation (Mrs. no longer complains in the living room! Despite a box with little soundproofing)
- A quality object: both solid and well thought out (locking the screws to avoid over-tightening, etc...)
- Supply of all accessories
- compatibility assured by noctua
Obviously the price and size are a consequence of the good points!
First purchase of this brand for me. I was quite impressed by the quality of the packaging and the construction of the product.
The assembly is very easy.
The performance is there and allows a generous overclocking while keeping a silence of lead. BLUFFANT !!!
The only small drawback: the aesthetics of the fan and the rad, we saw better.
Be careful with the space it takes up and not to have RAM bars too high.
Noctua has won me over and this product deserves its 5 stars.
Bought to try fanless on a 3770k in a well ventilated R3 define, this radiator manages to do this for word processing and internet surfing, but the H264 encoding generates temperatures above 70°. The presentation is excellent, several accessories are included and it is clear that this is a high quality product. The heatsink can also be mounted with the fins upright, which I was able to do quite easily as it is high and does not protrude as much on the motherboard and other components. The manual can be found online and is also very well done.
mounted on an i56700K in a silent base 600
this ventirad is great
For the moment it is fanless in my tower (cooled only by the case fans)
The cpu does not exceed 60c in hot days (playing ARK)
I don't regret my purchase.
During the assembly, quite complicated because of its size, a little bit afraid but once assembled, no problem, except one that occurred shortly after:
My case was burning !
I had to remove my rear fan from the case in order to cool it down, but despite that, due to the small space available inside the case, in game, the case still heats up well, I will take a bigger one soon x)
It's a quality product, of course you need space to accommodate it in your configuration (dark base pro 900 and use of low profile ram) but once in place it's a little bomb!
It cools perfectly an I7 6700K with a small overclock at 4.6Ghz (temperatures do not exceed 60°).
I recommend it!
That was my first reaction.
Not because of the space it takes up. Sure it's huge, but in a Fractal Design R4 case, there's still a lot of room :)
It's the cooling that is amazing.
28 in idle
50 in full load on BF1 in ultra
55 full load on Bioshock Infinite in ultra
Here is my conf
MSI Z170A GAMING M7
Intel Core i7-6700K
Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB DDR4 3000 MHz CL15
Noctua NH-D15
MSI GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X 8G
Considering the temperature, I'll OC a bit :D
Replacing a NS-U12S which was already working fine.
My i7 5820K OC at 4.3 GHZ is now at 26° idle and 65° at full load.
Integrated in a Corsair 780T tower with no space problems.
I just had to change the PCI Express slot of my graphics card (in fact it was already changed with the old ventirad) because the NH-D15 encroaches on the first PCI Express slot.
I added a third fan on top of it (it's possible, but you need the manufacturer's fixing pastes).
All in all, I gained more than 10° compared to the NS-U12S which already cools very well.
Product withdrawn from the Paris branch.
If you have the space in your PC, I recommend this product!
Big surprise in the crate when I discovered the big box of the Noctua. I'm not worried about my processor getting hot... Two big radiators and 2 fans. With a 3rd one at the back. This product is just great.
A bit crude and takes up a lot of space in the tower though, so be careful to have a big case
Highlight:
27° on the desktop mounted on an I7 6700k!
50/55° in game!
Quiet as can be!
Weakness :
You need a big tower because this little jewel is imposing!
(As well in place as in the visual.)
I bought this D15 to cool an i7 5960X, after a very good experience on a 2600k / U12P SE-2 pair: glad to see that Noctua still delivers, you can't go wrong.
The dimensions of the beast are impressive, 165mm high, 1,2Kg (!), so think to check if it fits in your case before any purchase. I'm in a Fractal Design r3, it's perfect, there's even more room. And the performance... under load and at stock frequency, I don't exceed 58 degrees, 53 degrees minimum, 55 on average. But above all, in an almost magical silence, probably helped by the big 140mm fan that gives a good boost to the central 120mm.
For an 8 core with a TDP of 140W, not bad :) I was able to OC the processor @4Ghz. And still in an incomparable silence.
For those who don't want to try watercooling and have a processor with a TDP =>130W, I can only advise to test such a solution, certainly expensive compared to other models, but worth the investment ;)
Noctua again and always on top
easy to install i was afraid for the ram bar but no fan my i7 6700k is great and without any noise but be careful with the height of the case !!!
This radiator works like a charm, and is incredibly quiet. Beware as mentioned the size, which just fits in my case (fractal design) though quite large, the CG passes just below, so some may not be so lucky. I invite you to buy it if it fits in your computer, you won't be disappointed.
I really insist on the efficiency, buy it with your eyes closed if you have a large camera.
I bought this Noctua NH-D15 to cool an i7 6700K and to say the least it does its job well. The processor does not exceed 45-50°C. Beware of the dimensions of this fan, it is rather imposing...
It cools very well and is very quiet! Beware it takes a lot of space and covers on some CM the ram strips!
Thank you for the professionalism of ldlc, fast, well packed....
I have a storm stryker with a small problem of isolation, the ventirad has no ground, what it does that can make crash all the PC so much it is big, obliged to make him a ground manually so that it is not of spit has by that nothing to say installation of child. why not 5 star? because I put more than 8 hour to find the problem XD
Ventirad that does its job, and does it well.
However, on my MSI Z170A KRAIT GAMING I could not install the second fan because it either touches the ram or the case (zalman z09 neo)
As cold as my ex's heart!
If you have enough space in your case then I can only recommend you a ventirad that does the job well +1 to ldlc ^^
