The HS4s carry on the philosophy and know-how of Yamaha monitoring loudspeakers. They are made up of carefully selected components, such as a high-performance Class D amplifier and a highly resistant MDF cabinet . The woofer and soft dome tweeter deliver true-to-source sound despite their size. They also feature exclusive 'Twisted Flare Port' technology, which reduces air turbulence in the bass-reflex port for clear, accurate bass. This is the secret behind the HS4's exceptional resolution, sound imaging and depth, with a straight response across all frequency bands and no coloration of the original sound.

I was looking for speakers for my office, with a nice finish and good sound to free me from headphones (a Focal Elegia which I really like).
Visually, they look just like the photos.
The sound is good, but it also depends on the source and the production conditions of the track you're listening to.
There's no shortage of sound.
