The TP-Link TL-FC311A-20 is a Gigabit media converter, providing a Gigabit RJ-45 port and a Gigabit SC fibre port, which can convert electrical and optical signals. Coupled with a TP-Link TL-FC311B-20, it can deploy fibre over a distance of up to 20 kms.

The TP-Link TL-FC311A-20 is a Gigabit media converter, providing a Gigabit RJ-45 port and a Gigabit SC fibre port, which can convert electrical and optical signals. Coupled with a TP-Link TL-FC311B-20, it can deploy fibre over a distance of up to 20 kms.

The TL-FC311A-20 adopts WDM (wavelength division multiplexing) technology, which enables data to be sent and received over distances of up to 20 km using a single single-mode fibre, saving customers half the cost of cable deployment.
The TL-FC311A-20 transmits data at a wavelength of 1550 nm and receives data at a wavelength of 1310 nm.Therefore, the terminal used in conjunction with the TL-FC311B-20 which sends data at a wavelength of 1310 nm and receive data at a wavelength of 1550 nm.
