TP-LINK MC112CS
Fast Ethernet WDM Media Converter
Overview
TP-Link 's MC112CS media converter is designed to convert 100BASE-FX optical fibre to 100Base-TX copper media and vice versa. Using WDM technology, the MC112CS uses a single fibre optic cable to transmit and receive data, saving you half the cabling costs. Designed according to the IEEE802.3u 10/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX standards, the MC112CS must be used with a single-mode fibre cable and an SC-type connector. The MC112CS supports the Long Wave Laser (LX) specification at maximum transmission speed. It operates at 1310 nm for data transfer and 1550 nm for data reception. Thus, the other end device connected to the MC112CS should operate at 1550 nm for data transfer and 1310 nm for data reception. TP-LINK's MC111CS is another media converter among the various devices working with the MC112CS.
The various features of this module allow you to use it also as a standalone device (chassis is not required), auto MDI/MDI-X for TX port, auto-negotiation of bidirectional mode.
