The TP-Link MC111CS media converter is designed to convert 100BASE-FX fibre to 100Base-TX copper media and vice versa. Using WDM technology, the MC111CS uses a single fibre optic cable to transmit and receive data.

Overview
TP-Link 's MC111CS media converter is designed to convert 100BASE-FX fibre to 100Base-TX copper media and vice versa. Using WDM technology, the MC111CS uses a single fibre optic cable to transmit and receive data, saving you half the cabling costs. Designed according to the IEEE802.3u 10/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX standards, the MC111CS must be used with a single-mode fibre cable and an SC-type connector. The MC111CS supports the Long Wave Laser (LX) specification at maximum transmission speed. It operates at 1550 nm for data transfer and 1310 nm for data reception. Thus, the other end device connected to the MC111CS should operate at 1310 nm for data transfer and 1550 nm for data reception. TP-LINK's MC112CS is another media converter among the various devices working with the MC111CS.
The various features of this module allow you to use it also as a stand-alone device (chassis is not required) or with TP-LINK's 19" system chassis, auto MDI/MDI-X.

- Extended fibre distance from 20 to 60 km.
