Overview

A screen dedicated to programming

Designed for coders, the BenQ RD240Q programming monitor puts you right in the middle of your code, wherever you are. With its large, high-resolution screen, various coding modes and ergonomic design, this BenQ monitor has everything you need to make your work more comfortable and efficient.

Optimised clarity for precision coding

BenQ's advanced encoding modes optimise the clarity of fonts and code elements, helping to reduce eye strain during prolonged use. Enjoy more comfortable coding with dark and light themes to suit any environment. Instantly adjust brightness, sharpness and contrast for optimal encoding conditions.

Application Mode makes it easy to assign different colour modes and remembers the settings you use most often for your applications. Link your IDE with the advanced encoding modes of the RD series for optimum fluidity! What's more, with the Display Pilot 2 application, you can easily organise your favourite functions, including shortcuts, desktop partition, application mode, software dimming, circadian mode and much more. The exclusive shortcuts feature lets you easily link your most frequently used functions to shortcut keys. With Display Pilot 2, copying and pasting shortcuts is no longer limited to one set; it remembers two sets of content at a time for greater efficiency.

Ergonomic design

Relieve persistent neck and back pain BenQ programming monitors put your comfort first and support your long-term projects. With 90° swivel, horizontal rotation, screen tilt and a height adjustable stand, your BenQ monitor will easily find an ideal position to suit your preferences and needs. Thanks to the 16/10 format of the RD240Q screen, the work surface is optimised.

Serial connection with USB Type-C 90 W

Multi-stream Transport Technology (MST) allows you to extend your display across multiple monitors using USB Type-C. The 90W USB Type-C transmits images, video and other data seamlessly, as well as charging your mobile devices simultaneously, all using a single cable.

Note that Mac and MacBook devices only support serial connection via Thunderbolt. Serial connection is not supported via HDMI or ordinary USB ports, regardless of the device. In addition, you can only connect one external display from a Mac device with M1 or M2 chips.

    Good screen

The screen itself is very good.
Setting the parameters using the buttons on the screen is a bit laborious, but overall it's still usable.
I didn't test the smartphone app, too many apps is the death of the phone. I'm on Linux so I didn't install any software either.

I don't have the impression that the display of the code is all that good compared with other screens, but with some PDFs I have the impression that the text is clearly more legible, and that does help with reading/understanding: when things read clearly, they're easier to understand.
    Don't expect a revolution though.
    Anyway, I don't regret it.
