It was a bit of a struggle to get used to the ambilight, especially as the neighbours took advantage of the LEDs as soon as it got dark. That said, the TV has good picture quality and if you deactivate the ambilight, you can reactivate it because it's still comfortable.
There were a few occasions (very few) when the picture was pixelated (on black)!
