The Nano IPS panel of your LG gaming monitor delivers vibrant colours for superior visual immersion. This curved screen will put you right in the middle of the action while providing you with optimal graphics and high contrast. VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified and HDR10 compatible, this model provides you with an incredible gaming environment.
Enjoy an XXL 37.5-inch display with QHD+ (3840 x 1600 pixels) resolution and an ergonomic design to place your equipment in the most suitable position. Easily manage the tilt and height for ideal comfort. Plus, the slim edges of the frame will add elegance to your desk. And the Sphere Lightning 2.0 lighting will give you an unforgettable immersion experience with sound and video synchronized to the content on your screen.
To give you the best chance of success, this monitor is equipped with a 144 Hz refresh rate (160 Hz OC) which brings a significant gain in fluidity, especially for fast games such as FPS. The response time of 1 ms also greatly limits the phenomenon of image remanence (ghosting) so that you are not penalised in games.
But that's not all: AMD's FreeSync Premium Pro technology and Nvidia G-SYNC compatibility align the monitor's display frequency with that of the graphics card, so that image tearing and most jerks disappear. This means that you will always have a perfect display and be able to play in the best possible conditions!

Purchased in January 2024, here's my feedback after 4 months of use.
The 21:9 format is a bit of a Swiss Army knife:
- In gaming, it works well with all types of games, the increase in width means you can see more things, which is especially useful in FPS games to have a wider field of vision. It's not too wide either, so it's not too 'difficult' to find information at the edge of the screen.
- For office use, you can put 3 pages side by side very comfortably.
The resolution, 3840x1600:
Compared with 3440x1440 screens, there are 10% more pixels, both in width and height, which means more elements are displayed (text, buttons, tabs, etc.).
I use 100% scaling on Windows. When browsing the web I use between 100 and 125% to limit eyestrain.
The size, 38 inches:
Coming from a 34-inch, the gain is clearly noticeable, I couldn't go back. For me, this is THE ideal size for a PC screen.
Curvature:
Slight, no visible distortion effect unlike screens with more pronounced curves.
Brightness:
I'm in a bright room, so if I'm playing, I have to pull down the blinds because even set to 100%, it's still not enough.
Gaming:
Beware that given the resolution (3840x1600 = 6,144,000 pixels), we're approaching the number of pixels of 4K (3840x2160 = 8,294,400 pixels), ideally you need a solid config for big games.
I'm using an RTX4080 Super, which runs everything at maximum speed at +100fps.
HDR:
It's all a big joke, I use it in SDR because in HDR the brightness is reduced.
There were no dead pixels to report when I unpacked it and to date, fortunately because I can't stand visual defects.
However, there is 1 speck of dust embedded in the slab at the top of the screen. I paid attention to it for 30 minutes and it hasn't bothered me since.
The little LG UltraGear 38GN950P-B has arrived safely, and settled in fairly quickly after finding a stand to fit it.
It seems to be doing well, happy to be out of the box.
It's got great colours and for a screen it's got a really nice curve!
At first, it was a bit bulky because of its stand and/or its desk, which didn't have enough clearance, so I found a swivel stand that suits it perfectly!
He really seems to be blossoming and we spend a lot of time together!
He gives you lots of hugs and kisses, but feels so good that he'll never go back to where he came from.
