First IPS panel after an Omen screen in Qwhd 165 hz
The difference is obvious, the blacks are intense, the responsiveness is impressive, on games like Returnal, Doom a real pleasure
The model is quite light for its size, good connectivity at the back and even if it's not the most important the OSD menu is really well done with a physical button > no galley in touch or other

I just received my monitor and I can say without hesitation that it is the bomb!!!
I have an RTX3080/i7-10700K and I ran Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 and in game I have over 120 fps!!! I was a bit worried about dropping or slowing down because of the resolution (the other screen I had is 1080p) but nope. Everything runs smoothly.
Not to mention the picture is very good too.
In short I'm happy!!!
I haven't invested so much in a monitor for ten years. I'm switching from an LG ultrawide HD 60Hz desktop to this one. The difference is incredible. There is no turning back. The package to overseas via Chronopost arrived very quickly and perfectly intact, the original packaging provides excellent protection. I used it on Cyberpunk 2077 with a GTX 1660 Ti, 40 to 50 fps in medium... The next logical step will be to invest in a 3070 Ti or Super in 2021.... To be continued)
My previous screen was a good old 32" 60Hz VA at 400€.
The first thing I noticed was the colours, they're really bad! I had to fiddle with the settings a bit, lower the contrast on the red and now it's close to perfection.
The gamma curve is excellent.
Then my tests on the refresh... yes we see a real difference between 144Hz and 160Hz (via overclock). But I don't recommend overclocking, the gain in smoothness doesn't compensate for the loss of Adapting-Sync.
144Hz on this screen is really super smooth, no visible ghosting, a real joy. On the other hand, at this resolution and refresh rate, my old graphics card is really struggling to keep up (I can't wait for the 3080RTX).
The brightness level is almost too high, the white is very intense.
The black display suffers from the IPS technology, the black is much brighter than with a VA panel, which makes its contrast ratio drop.
Overall the colour uniformity is very good for an IPS, if you don't look for it, you won't see it.
The screen format is quite nice, you can place 2 windows side by side as you would use 2 screens, on my old 32" the windows were too thin in 2 screens.
On the other hand, some games don't take the 21:9 format, which results in filling the sides in black to respect the 16:9 ratio.
For movies it's the same.
I chose this screen after hours of research to find the best of this format. In this price range, I couldn't find anything better, the next model up was at €2500. The cheaper ones all suffered from one or more flaws (rough colour, ghosting, colour uniformity problems etc.), although the odyssey G7 looks pretty good for those who like extreme curves.
Conclusion: An excellent but expensive screen
Easy to assemble on its stand, very good image quality. No problems at all. I recommend it to you!
I had ordered this monitor from Amazon. I received it defective with stripes that duplicated the image.
I tried again with LDLC this time.
Unfortunately, a dead pixel appeared after two weeks.
Fortunately, I took the LDLC dead pixel insurance. I'm waiting to see about an exchange.
I can't recommend this monitor because of its unreliability. It's really a lottery. LG's quality controls are bad. Be aware of this if you buy it. It's a surprise when you unpack it.
I will change my rating when I finally get a monitor that works perfectly. At 950e the screen is the minimum.
Nothing to say about LDLC. I am very happy with my customer experience with this site.
