Installing w11 very complicated
Installing Windows 11 was a real pain: Windows 11 didn't recognise either the Ethernet port or the wifi on this computer.
However, I used the official "Creating Windows 11 installation media" tool, which I downloaded and installed on an external USB stick, which I then connected to the computer to install Windows 11.
But during the installation an Internet connection is required to continue, and that's when the problem arose: Windows didn't recognise anything at all on this computer (probably the network drivers on the Windows 11 installation disc weren't compatible with this computer...). After a lot of trying to check that it wasn't me (!!!) I found a USB-C to Ethernet adapter and thanks to this little adapter I was finally able to do the whole Windows 11 installation.
In short, I'd like to warn potential buyers about this huge problem....
Of course, once Windows 11 is fully installed, Windows update will look for the drivers for the network card and the Wi-Fi card (still using the USB-C to Ethernet adapter). Once the right drivers have been installed, you can finally use the 2.5 network card or the Wi-Fi...
I therefore conclude that the Windows 11 installation media that I used, official and up to date, didn't recognise the hardware on this computer.... It really made me angry for the price! It's impossible to say who's to blame if it's Microsoft or Intel.
So my advice is either to buy a USB c to Ethernet adapter, or perhaps to wait for a new version of the Windows 11 installation media from Microsoft that would integrate the drivers directly.... Or perhaps integrate the network card drivers into the Windows 11 installation media yourself....
