Rapid IPS 4K HDR panel
Speed is at the heart of what gamers want. To ideally meet their needs, MSI offers a 28-inch Rapid IPS panel on the Optix MAG281URF for smoother, more comfortable gaming. With this solid foundation, the suite is also up to the challenge. This 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) model covers a wide colour gamut with 95% of the DCI-P3 space and 124% of the sRGB space. In addition, this model is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified for an even more immersive visual experience.
Tame your opponents
Designed to deliver smooth, fast playback at all times, the MAG281URF has a maximum refresh rate of 144 Hz, aresponse time of 1ms (grey to grey) and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility. Two HDMI 2.1 connectors provide superior speed, including 4K/120 Hz console gaming.
The Night Vision mode will improve the display of dark areas on the screen: don't be surprised by ambushers!
Your perfect gaming environment
The MSI monitor features an ergonomic stand with adjustable height, rotation, swivel and tilt for a comfortable gaming experience. It also has extensive connectivity with DisplayPort and USB-C connectors as well as a USB hub with two dedicated ports.
Eye protection is a must with the anti-flicker and Less Blue Light Premium technologies. The latter reduces light emissions in the blue-violet spectrum without any sacrifice in colour or image quality.
Key Features:
28-inch 16:9 format screen with 4K UHD resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels)
There was a lot of hesitation between this one and the M28U, but a £599 promotion tipped the balance in favour of the msi.
The quality is incredible despite a pixel blockage, unfortunately, although this can be corrected as it's a common problem with screens these days.
The colours are almost perfect, close to an oled screen, and the contrast/brightness is very satisfactory. The screen even manages to brighten up dark areas if you activate it in the osd.
The finish is pretty top-of-the-range, with very thin edges on 3 sides, and the stand is very sturdy and easy to swivel, etc.
Gsync works perfectly and all cables are supplied, including certified hdmi 2.1.
The rather anecdotal rear rgb can be deactivated.
It doesn't get too hot.
A lot of customisation and settings can be manipulated directly on the screen or by installing the osd.
I'd recommend it 100%.

Nickel
4K (3840x2160) 144Hz G-Sync compatible screen that fits the bill perfectly! (G-Sync works perfectly)
I received the package the day after I placed my order (fast).
No defects on the product on receipt, nickel chrome.
As far as the product itself is concerned, if you've looked into it, it has the same IPS panel as some other 4 27"-28" 144Hz screens (such as the Samsung Odyssey G7 S28, the Gigabyte M28U or the Asus TUF Gaming VG28UQL1A).
What got me hooked on this screen was quite simply its sober, simple and 'gaming' design from MSI. The 'square' stand doesn't take up any space and supports the screen well, with all the stability required (other 'crow's foot' models will make you lose space on the desk).
You've got RGB behind the screen but it's pretty discreet, so those who aren't fans of RGB will hardly notice it, and for the big fans it might not light up your wall :)
As far as the OSD is concerned, you can install a piece of software (gaming intelligence) which, once you've launched it, will let you change the screen settings with your mouse, which is a really handy feature! It's really a +++ option that made me choose this product. All you have to do is connect the screen to your PC using the USB2 cable supplied in the package and the installation will be offered to you on the 1st launch of your system. Still in the OSD, you have a multitude of options such as 'night vision', which automatically lights up dark areas when playing games, or the crosshair in the middle of the screen, which lets you have an 'unscop' viewfinder (you could say it's a bit of a cheat :p ).
As for the display, you have ultra-thin edges at the top, left and right of the screen, so that your display takes up 90% of the screen. After adjusting the colours, brightness, contrast and sharpness to your taste, you'll have a beautiful 4K image that will please your eyes, believe me!
In short, I recommend it 100%!
