    Too expensive

For the price I expected more quality. I agree with everything that was said in Quentin S.'s comment.

The backplate looks very cheap, it couldn't have cost them more than 2 cents, and the alignment with the USB ports is rough.
The location of the SATA ports is poorly thought out and the OC features are limited. For example the BIOS offers 3 modes: normal, performance, or extreme, but none of these modes have any impact on the performance management of your hardware. They are disabled on the Prime series (confirmed by an ASUS representative).

If I had to do it all over again, I would go for a gaming version, TUF or go back to MSI.

    Not very well thought out

    Ordered with an i5 12600k
Simple and efficient package but very few accessories

I went from a MSI Z270 Carbon (100€ cheaper) to this Asus Prime and I was quite disappointed with the placement of the different connectors on the motherboard, for the price I don't find it normal.
Indeed most of them are at the bottom, where I have SSDs installed (at the bottom of the case) and are connected perpendicularly to the MC which makes the connections and cable management very laborious.
I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea.
    And that changes everything!

Also, unlike all my other motherboards in this case (NZXT), this one doesn't line up perfectly with the backplate once in place, which makes access to some USB ports almost impossible.
And speaking of backplates, this one is really entry level... Again, compared to the MSI, it's night and day.

I got it for the DDR4 compatibility and LGA1200 cooling to keep my AIO. And for that no worries. The ODR also played a role.

Otherwise everything works fine and the Asus BIOS is pretty well thought out.

In summary I am mixed! I'm thinking of sending it back to get an MSI
