D-Link DGS-1100-16V2 - 24 port 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Managed Switch
Last price 149€95The affordable solution for small and medium-sized businesses
The D-Link DGS-1100-16v2 is part of the D-Link DGS-1100 series, which complements the EasySmart line of switches with D-Link Green technology. Compliant with the IEEE802.3az (Ethernet Energy Optimization) standard, this switch consumes less power when not in use. The DGS-1100 series consists of 16 and 24 Gigabit port models. It comes with a compact 11-inch desktop or rack-mount enclosure. The switches also include D-Link Green features that assess link status and cable length, and adjust power consumption accordingly. The switches are supported via a Web-based management interface or SmartConsole utility. The DGS-1100 Series also features per-port VLANs, QoS and IGMP monitoring to optimise performance for multicast applications. Without a fan, this switch operates more quietly and has a longer service life. The DGS-1100 Series is an affordable solution for small and medium-sized businesses that requires no technical intervention. It is also suitable for enterprise deployments, such as branch offices or meeting rooms that require simple network management.
Auto VLAN monitoring and bandwidth control
The DGS-1100 Series supports Auto Surveillance VLAN (ASV), which is ideal for video surveillance deployment. Auto Surveillance VLAN is a new state-of-the-art technology built into the D-Link EasySmart switch series that consolidates data and video surveillance transmission through a single switch, saving an organisation the purchase of dedicated hardware and installations. The ASV also provides real-time video quality for surveillance and monitoring, without compromising conventional data transmission over the network. In addition, with bandwidth control, network administrators can reserve bandwidth for high priority functions or those with greater bandwidth requirements.
D-Link Green Technology and Power Savings
Compliant with the IEEE 802.3az (Ethernet Energy Optimisation / EEE) standard, these switches save energy by reducing power consumption at lower traffic volumes. This new standard reduces power consumption during periods of inactivity or low connection usage. By deploying EEE (Ethernet Energy Optimisation) devices, users can reduce operating costs as well as those associated with cooling systems, allowing small and medium-sized businesses to stay within their budgets. The DGS-1100 Series also features D-Link Green technology. The switches automatically assess the length of connected cables and can adjust power consumption for shorter cable connections (up to 20 metres), saving energy. Connection status assessment significantly reduces power consumption by automatically switching all unconnected ports to standby mode.
Ease of deployment
The DGS-1100 EasySmart switches feature an intuitive SmartConsole utility and web-based management interface to allow administrators to remotely control all levels of the network. SmartConsole allows users to detect multiple D-Link EasySmart switches in the same network segment. With this utility, users can retain the computer's IP address to find their EasySmart switches. In addition, initial configuration is quick and easy. Users can perform advanced switch configuration and basic configuration of detected devices (password changes, firmware upgrades).
Improved tolerance and performance
For network maintenance, the system features loopback detection and cable diagnostics. Loopback detection identifies loops created by a port to automatically shut down the affected port. With cable diagnostics, network administrators can quickly examine the quality of copper cables and define different types of errors. In addition, the static MAC address can disable automatic learning on selected ports and set static MAC addresses on designated ports to extend security on the network.
