Great for replacing a TV box
Mini PC fanless and therefore silent and consumes almost nothing. It doesn't get particularly hot either.
I wanted responsiveness, a fast start-up, silence and the possibilities of a computer. I have all this with this mini PC on which I installed Ubuntu and I have all the streaming services available without being dependent on the existence of a dedicated application.
With a browser + Kodi I have everything I need. I even added Steam for 2 or 3 small games (here we come to the limits of the concept, the HD Graphic 600 not being a war lightning).
Everything is super smooth, starts up in less than 20s, wakes up instantly, switching from one service to another is super fast compared to a Mibox or Xbox One (it's just a world away.) Really it's great.
A small keyboard with trackpad, Kore for Kodi on the tel and you can control it from the couch without any worries. It's a great tool for surfing the net and doing other silly things that you can't do with the comfort of the above-mentioned boxes.
You just have to be careful with the RAM. Obviously it is ticklish at this level.
The first kit did not allow booting even though it is in the list of tested on the official site. (Hyper X CL14 2x4Go 2400Mhz) Fortunately, the second one (Gskill 2x4Go 2400Mhz CL16) works very well even though it is not in the list. The difference in performance with this dual channel kit is big compared to an 8GB spare.
I tested starting with 2x8GB and it also works just in case.
I'm very happy with it and despite the fear of lack of power, it does everything right in this usage.
