Purchased to fill the gaps in a fibre operator's box.
Advantages :
- Excellent WiFi
Advantages compared to the box
- Highly configurable firmware
- Filtering capabilities, parental control, time restrictions configurable per device
- Attack detection, isolation of infected devices (interesting for self-hosting)
- UPnP server
- Very complete and practical Android app
Disadvantages :
- nothing for the moment
My ISP blocks pppoe redirection and their technical service is incompetent (what a surprise) so I haven't been able to test it yet, I could only wander around the interface.... I'll see when I change ISP (hopefully).
After a few weeks of use, I am really surprised by the quality of this router. I have a Synology 2600ac and as a replacement I took this Asus AX86U which improves my wifi in every way. It's a great piece of equipment and I'm very pleased with the quality of the service.
It's really a positive purchase in every way.
