With its compact and modern design, the QSW-M408-2C fits perfectly with other devices in the modern digital office. Featuring a design with a delicate white textured surface, the QSW-M408-2C helps users easily identify each port. The flexible DC power connector also allows the QSW-M408-2C to be universally deployed. Being fully plug-and-play, you simply connect the QSW-M408-2C to your devices and it will do the rest.

Flexible deployment

The QSW-M408-2C provides four 10GbE SFP+ ports (with two 10GbE SFP+/RJ45 combo ports) and eight Gigabit ports to connect different devices and establish high-speed hybrid networks. With SFP+ interfaces, it is possible to use DAC (direct attach copper) cables to connect directly to SFP+ devices. Also, you can use 10G-SFP-T copper transceiver modules to connect 10GBASE-T/NBASE-T devices via Category 6, 5 or 5e RJ45 cabling. The capacity of the QSW-M408-2C is 96 Gbps, which guarantees the full potential of each port.

QSS Dashboard

The QSW-M408-2C uses the QNAP Switch System (QSS) with an easy-to-use web-based graphical user interface (GUI) full of value-added features to simplify network configuration and management.

The QSW-M408-2C provides bandwidth and packet control functions (including LACP, VLAN, QoS, and IGMP Snooping) to boost network performance through IP bundling and bandwidth management. It also has powerful system and security features (including ACL, LLDP, RSTP, and Flow Control) to help administrators improve network reliability through access controls, troubleshooting, loop prevention, and avoiding packet loss.

    Very good Multi-gig switch

    Hello,
I've been using it for a while now, but it's a little bit too small for me to be able to use it.
I've been using it for a while now, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to put it in a closet or on a desk.
I recommend to place it in a cupboard but not on a desk.

It works with a freebox pro in SFP+ without problem if you have a compatible cable
the distribution works particularly well in 1GbE, 2.5GbE and 10GbE.
50% pro and 50% personal use (teleworker)

    Only small drawback, the software
I've been using it for a while now, but it's not easy to get used to, and in my opinion it lacks a bit of customisation (renaming ports)
I've been using it for a while now, but it's a good idea to keep it up to date!

Works very well with a Freebox Delta when coupled with good cables

For this switch to work well with a Freebox Delta, you really need to design a 10GB network. This requires connecting the Freebox and the switch with an optical adapter (avoid DACs that consume too much power).
Contrary to my previous opinion, the switch works well but the SFP+ connectors are very... temperamental. And the model is innocent.
