TheIntel NUC10i5FNH2 is a barebone in mini PC format that offers a 10th generation Intel Core i5 processor with 4 cores and 8 threads. Thanks to its rich connectivity (Thunderbolt 3, HDMI 2.0, USB 3.1, Wi-Fi 6 AX) and the addition of DDR4 2666 MHz RAM (SO-DIMM format) as well as an M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD + a 2.5" SATA 6 Gbps drive, you can enjoy a complete and responsive PC in a small format.
Quad-Core Performance
Thanks to its Intel Comet Lake processor, the NUC10 Frost Canyon offers both outstanding performance and low power consumption. The 10th generation Intel Core processors are packed with advanced features to enhance productivity and entertainment quality. With an M.2 PCIe SSD slot and two RAM slots (up to 64GB), this NUC will deliver smooth and fast operation.
Uncompromisingly compact
The Intel Frost Canyon NUCoffers a compact form factor that allows it to be installed in many different environments. Its reduced size does not prevent it from being efficient for office and multimedia use thanks to its Intel Core processor and its numerous connectivity possibilities: USB 3.1 10 Gbit/s, Thunderbolt 3, HDMI 2.0, Wi-Fi 6 AX... nothing is missing.
This barebone is perfect for those looking for compact power. Of course, its 3D capabilities do not allow it to play modern '3D' games, don't dream, but for example it improves the quality of video conferencing (more powerful video encoding) than the old NUC it replaced.
The only thing you need to know is that there are only a few USB ports (you need an external 7 port USB 3.0 hub), and that it is noisy by default. The BIOS should say that the temperature used to drive the fan is not the CPU (too unstable) but the other sensors. My settings give a perfect silence:
PCH: fan off: 48, min T 80, min Duty 20, Duty cycle incr 4
MotherboardL fan off 54, min T 70, min Duty 20 Duty cycle incr 4

Great little beefy pc, fast and quiet
1) I succeeded in doing what I wanted, i.e. to make the processor change clock frequency instantaneously when it is solicited or not (see screenshots attached) and which leads to low temperatures of 31 to 33°c at rest and 54 to 75°c in average and full load! To do this it was necessary in the bios to put the mode "Cool" for the fan then to activate Intel Boost in performance and to choose "personalized" in the menu "power" to change 2 values: the 1st sustain mode to 25 instead of 30 and as the bios recommends multiply this value by 1,3 for the burst mode what gives 32,5 that I rounded to 33 and there that of happiness! the processor turns on a range of 789mghz to 3,9ghz. 2) The IR receiver contained in this Nuc with the material that I bought from you, namely, keyboard logitech illuminated K830, Edifier luna e25 HD and logitech harmony touch that allow me to control everything remotely in my sofa: Turning on and off all my devices (TV, Speakers and the Nuc) Too top! 3) A Nuc of a frightening silence even at full load it is below dB level of my old tower Antec Nine I7 2,93ghz 12go and Gtx 1060 bought from you also a long time ago. 4) Impressed with the little uhd 620 graphics processor in terms of its video quality contributions compared to my gtx 1060 it greatly reduced motion artifacts on my panasonic TV, something I had trouble doing with the GTX, colour and detail level also the UHD 620 is magnificent compared to the GTX especially in 4K HDR video! And I was even able to play GRID 2 in 1080p high detail mode. I'm very satisfied with this Nuc, now I regret not having waited a little more to acquire the i7 10th generation model with 6 cores and 12mos of cache.

impeccable!
After a return and a sending of another machine by LDLC the NUC works perfectly, silently!
I use it with Ubuntu Server (I couldn't get the ethernet port to work on Debian, the driver must be too new) for nextcloud, peertube, jitsi... it's great! For a long time I think !

great but fan problem!
The PC is really simple to assemble, it's really well thought out!
I was able to do the first really convincing tests (I bought this machine to make a Nextcloud / Peertube / Mail server...) but I didn't manage to calm down the fan, which was much too noisy.
The various BIOS settings do nothing, nor does the update. I'm quite disappointed, I'm waiting for LDLC's opinion to know if I should change my machine or wait for another BIOS update
