I bought it to replace my i5-10600k, I don't regret it, even if the 13th generation has just been released, this i9 does the job, I use a Dark Rock Slim for cooling, it is sufficient, but no overclocking possible because the TPD goes up to 180 W minimum, without OC the CPU goes up to 160 W and 70 degrees on games like "Call of Duty" MW2. (Graphics in Extreme)
I am very happy with this processor (installed on an MSI MPG Z490 GAMING PLUS). I have overclocked it and it performs very well in combination with an RTX 3070, it's a killer for running all the latest games.

I have not yet set up my new PC with this I9 and with all the components bought on LDLC.
But I have a very good a priori because from everywhere this kind of configuration and this processor will undoubtedly make me good service in MAO. I will update my opinion by posting as soon as I have used it!
Obviously a monster like this one will have at least one drawback: it heats up! But this is not due to the quality of the components, in the big recording studios you have huge fridges that cool down the computer tools that heat up a lot in order to have an optimum performance and a good life span of course.
This CPU is powerful, and the small internal GPU offers the leisure to wait a little before choosing a graphics card and offers decent services for everyday needs.
Installed on a MSI z490 Gaming Carbon Wifi motherboard the processor runs at 5.4ghz with a single core and 4.9ghz with 20 cores.
I hesitated before taking a core I9. In the end I don't regret this purchase. It is a very powerful processor and very well managed by Windows 10.

Powerful monster. Easy OC with an Asus ROG CM. A bit expensive in France compared to its US price. But that's the case for all CPUs.
I found the ROG ASUS MAXIMUS motherboards to be top of the line with the I9 10900K combination, I am ready for the end of year 2020 releases.
