Frankly for the price it's really good. If you have small cuts it's important enough to protect your computer or other devices.
Personally, I took two, box and setup, because life in the village can sometimes bring nasty surprises!
This is my second inverter, the first was a different brand and failed me after 6 years. I appreciate this type of product in the event of an unexpected power cut, which allows me to save my work in progress (and the progress of my video game...). So far, so good. However, I do regret the little booklet, which doesn't explain much for a novice - just a few drawings. It should also be made clearer that before any use, the battery should be left to charge for at least 24 hours - I left it for 3 days. My old inverter was much more exhaustive on this point. That's all, and... thank you LDLC for the fast delivery.
It's a good product for protecting equipment sensitive to voltage surges, but it's relatively fragile; the previous one only lasted 28 months.
The product suits me perfectly, in the event of a power cut there are no problems, the UPS takes over straight away. And by installing "UPS companion" it is possible to adjust quite a few things, the input voltage, the consumption in real time (between 200 and 250 W for me - hypervisor with a lot of disks and ram), the charge level and the estimated running time on the battery.
the criteria for automatic system shutdown are :
- Battery operation for x minutes
- Battery life less than or equal to x minutes
- Battery charge level less than x %.
So there's no need to worry about short interruptions, and you can be sure of an orderly shutdown if things go wrong for a while.
Recommended for anyone who has important data or, like me, hates losing work in progress.
In principle, it's a convenience, but there can be unpleasant surprises during public works or other projects...
This is my second inverter of this brand, the other being 10 years old, I had to replace the battery while waiting to do it, I ordered a new model to replace it at the same time, I run with an 800W power supply on my PC and it works without any problem, as indicated.
