The parcel arrived in perfect condition and on time.
The inverter does what it's supposed to do. The icing on the cake: the inverter comes with an unlimited warranty (it says so on the packaging).
What more could you ask for?
I bought it because the electrical system in my building is lamentable and to protect my equipment,
The result is very good.
On the plus side:
- Stable electrical voltage.
- Quite complete in terms of sockets: electricity / RJ45 / USB. But it "only" supports 4 "backed-up" sockets.
- EcoControl" function on 2 sockets (up to 25% energy savings).
- Rather "powerful", because it supports several things: PC / 2.1 sound system / TV / Console Switch / Blu-ray player (obviously not everything is switched on at the same time).
- This inverter can run for up to 15 minutes (I tested it).
- Audible alarm to indicate the status of the inverter.
- Compact format with horizontal or vertical positioning.
- Automatic restart of the inverter when power returns.
- USB socket for recharging devices.
- A USB communication port enabling the UPS to be managed from a computer (using software).
- RJ11/45 socket with effective Tel/ADSL line protection.
- Protection against: discharge / overload / overvoltage + Tel/ADSL line
- Fairly fast charge time and easy-to-replace battery
- The price is right.
The downside:
- Electric current regulation sometimes lacks responsiveness. It's a shame.
In short:
Very decent overall.
A very practical inverter with top and rear sockets, so you can use the original cables of the devices connected. It takes up very little space and can easily be slid along a desk.
In terms of functionality, I simply use it to manage the small daily power cuts that occur in my home, and it does the job perfectly (there was one as I was writing this review). The alert beep (or when you turn it on/off) is discreet but present enough to remind you to save your work.
The size of the UPS is convenient, and I like the addition of the 4 non-corrugated plugs that allow you to connect your entire office to the same device.
Totally silent (just a humming noise when on battery).
The packaging was in perfect condition, but one of the walls was protruding a centimetre from its frame (a bit like when a battery swells). I removed the battery cover to reclip the whole thing but this implies that Eaton does not do visual quality control of its products (it was immediately obvious)?
I was hesitating to remove one or two stars for this (because it's not serious but it's still blatant) but it will be two for two other details that will tip the balance, on the one hand I regret the lack of USB charging port (as on the 3S range), I'm not sure if it's a good idea to put a warning on the box or not, but it's stupid to put a warning on the box, explain how to unpack the product and what the lights indicate, but not to indicate the operation when it's highlighted on the box.
I'm still recommending this product because of the reputation of the brand (although I'm going to have doubts now) and the low price.
