The VG259Q is the first gaming monitor to combine two technologies that are normally impossible to activate simultaneously: Adaptive Sync and Ultra Low Motion Blur (ULMB).
Today, ASUS has managed to combine these two technologies and equipped this monitor with ELMB-Sync. Thanks to this major innovation, it is now possible to benefit from the best of both worlds (i.e. the benefits of FreeSync for better smoothness without tearing coupled with the reduction of ghosting and blurred areas during fast movements of ULMB) without being forced to do without one or the other!
All screens emit varying amounts of blue light, which can be harmful to the eyes if exposed for long periods. To effectively address this issue, ASUS Ultra Low Blue Light technology effectively reduces these emissions through 5 different selectable levels. Flicker is also combated by the Flicker-Free system so that you can play for longer periods of time under the best conditions.
With its ergonomic design, the VG259Q can be adjusted according to your preferences: the stand can be adjusted over a 130 mm stroke, the tilt of the screen over +33/-5 degrees and the whole unit can be easily rotated over 90 degrees on each side. In addition, the swivel function allows the panel to be switched from landscape to portrait format and vice versa with ease.

I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have the buttons behind the screen... it's aesthetic but not always practical, especially when the screen is against a wall on the right.
On the other hand, the height of the stand is great!
I don't use the vertical format but it must be very practical for those who do word processing all day long.
I am writing this review afterwards to raise its average rating which is objectively too low!
I have this screen in duplicate that works every day for several hours for 2 years now. The image quality is very good, not a single dead pixel and never had any problems.
The feet are a bit big, so I have since switched to a dual screen stand to free up space.
The screen is very nice with very thin edges which looks good when 2 are stuck side by side.
My only regret with this purchase is that I didn't put more money into a QHD screen...
The screen is really good, the day I upgrade to a better resolution I will clearly stay with Asus TUF.
Screen used for 6 months
the frame is of good manufacture, solid sliding foot
the picture quality is quite good (compared to a Samsung on TN panel). Good display of blacks and quite bright colours
the settings are very complete and therefore quite long to set up, even if the presets (fps, rpg..ect) can help
not the best screen in the world but far from being a bad screen for all that
The screen failed me after 3 months for no reason, it just won't turn on anymore.
ASUS took 1 month to send me a return slip. I sent the screen back but so far no news.
I've just had a new configuration and I'm almost 2 months without a PC, it's very disappointing...
I was convinced that the screen had no speakers...
I was wrong, my mistake.
I suspected that a screen with built-in speakers must have a lousy sound, I didn't want to buy this and I'll return it.
Anyway, indeed, the sound is a pair of mini 2x2 watt speakers, find out how much it's worth.
But on top of that, the picture is really not crazy, compared to my other screen (100€ or so, which works, I'm on dual screens, so I can compare...)
The stand is perfect though, it swivels in all directions, height adjustment is great, and it looks great too, no worries. But it's too expensive for what it is technically, I have to return this.
