The ASrock B450M-Pro 4-F motherboard based on the AMD B450 chipset is designed to host AMD Ryzen processors of Pinnacle Ridge, Summit Ridge & Raven Ridge generations. It will allow the assembly of a desktop or multimedia configuration at an affordable cost while embedding everything necessary to benefit from a compact and powerful configuration. With a PCI-Express 16x slot for a graphics card, SATA 6Gb/s and M.2 connectors for storage and SSDs as well as numerous USB ports, this Micro ATX motherboard has everything you need to upgrade your machine to a gaming configuration with a dedicated graphics card.
A PCIe Gen3 x4 Ultra M.2 interface with data transfer rates up to 32Gbit/s, compatible with the ASrock U.2 Kit (not included) for installation of U.2 PCIe Gen3 x4 SSDs. M.2 SATA 6 Gbps is also supported for full compatibility. The most common M.2 formats are supported as the B450M-HDV motherboard can accommodate 2242/2260/2280 types.
Triple Monitor Technology
The ASrock B450M-Pro 4-F motherboard is compatiblewith Triple Monitor technology to expand your desktop even further as you can connect up to 3 monitors simultaneously without adding an additional graphics card. This solution is only compatible with processors that have an integrated graphics controller, as the motherboard does not have a graphics chip. The HDMI output supports 4096 x 2160 @ 24 Hz and 3840 x 2160 @ 30 Hz, DVI-D up to 1920 x 1200 and VGA 2048 x 1536.
The motherboard works perfectly and meets expectations, but the insertion of components is more difficult than on any motherboard I have tested (I have more than 20 years of experience in this field). Whether it's the ATX connector, the RAM, the PCI slots: everything is very difficult to connect or disconnect, you have to force the components (all compatible, of course) to take their place
In the end, the configuration works, but beware of the risk of breakage during assembly!

Does the job well
This card was bought to replace an old asus socket 155 and its i5-3470 which was starting to struggle, despite the ssd and ram
I bought a Ryzen 3 1200 at the same time, glued 16gb of ddr4 second hand and a m2 sata that was lying around, second hand, and I'm very happy with it, I can finally not restrict the use of the computer. In a few months, I will switch to NVME
Be careful, the ram is very close to the fan, I was tricked with the original R3 fan which is asymmetrical. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to disable the boot on the other disks, I had a problem with a usb bootable disk, the card didn't seem to know where to boot.
I also had doubts about the ignition switch connection, the doc is not clear at all, that's why I don't give it the maximum mark.
I've been running at 70/80 fps on Doom andernal, while I was barely reaching 60 with the i5 3470
I've been swearing off AMD since the athlon 2200+, but I've changed my mind (I have a hp laptop at work in ryzen which I'm very happy with, that helped in my decision).
I'm waiting for my second hand Lian Li PC-U6 case to make a nice case for this motherboard.
