Perfect colour reproduction

With built-in AQCOLOR technology, this BenQ monitor ensures accurate colour reproduction for the best working conditions. The PD3220U features Ultra HD resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) and an IPS panel for bright colours and wide viewing angles.

Colour reproduction is optimal with 100% sRGB and Rec.709 coverage and 95% DCI-P3. In addition, this display features HDR10 technology for ideal visual intensity of every content displayed on the screen.

A display that always fits

Enjoy a smoother workflow with this BenQ display featuring three display modes that accentuate image detail and make editing, creating and viewing easier.

Darkroom mode adjusts the brightness and contrast of images to bring clarity and sharpness to all details and create the optimal setting for post-processing tasks in dark areas. The revolutionary CAD/CAM mode provides superior image contrast that makes the lines and shapes of technical illustrations stand out. Animation mode increases dark shadow detail so you can fine-tune your designs effortlessly, while areas that don't require this feature remain unchanged.

Powerful connectivity

The BenQ PD3220U monitor supports Thunderbolt 3 technology via two USB-C ports. This makes it easy to connect up to two 4K displays and enjoy accelerated data transmission. This model also features another USB-C port, two HDMI 2.0 connectors and a DisplayPort 1.4.

Finally, a USB hub with 3 USB 3.1 ports will come in very handy for your daily needs!

Comfortable to work with

Easily control the contents of two different PCs via a keyboard/mouse device thanks to the integrated KVM technology. Switch from one computer to another easily and efficiently. And the G2 Shortcut Wheel gives you three unique customisable function buttons to make your working environment even better!

Technology for your eyes

Flicker-Free technology prevents the harmful effect of flicker from tiring and damaging your eyes. You can now work for hours in front of your screen without experiencing eye strain or pain. Low Blue Light technology is designed to filter out harmful blue light and therefore reduce eye fatigue and irritation.

Customise your workstation to perfect your user environment with a wide variety of screen adjustments for height, tilt, swivel and tilt. When using the screen vertically, the orientation sensor automatically rotates the screen content.

    The dream screen

Perfect monitor for a combination of business and leisure needs. Personal laptop, professional laptop, Chromecast and Playstation. A simple gesture is all it takes to switch between them thanks to the KVM Switch and the control supplied.

Continuation of the May 2020 notice - reassessment of the rating

Well, I won't go back over the problems at the time of purchase and in the first 100 days.
In the end, the BenQ and LDLC after-sales services played their respective roles. The screen came back repaired after changing the motherboard by BenQ.
Since 2 years, it works perfectly ... and it is a superb screen.

So I re-evaluate the rating to 4 stars.

    To be continued...

Nice screen for image work, but certainly not for FPS gamers.

"Review after 15 days of use. Very happy with this screen. The colours are nice, and fairly accurate without calibration. I plan to do so when I can get a probe. I would have liked to give it an 8.5/10 rating, but I can't give it a 9/10: indeed, I don't find it very bright, although this doesn't bother me in my daily work (3D, photo, grading): I come from an old 250 nits screen (HP Z27x 1st generation) and I don't find the BenQ to be especially bright. It even tends to be darker at times.

I come from an HD environment so 4K is a real plus for me.

Beware though, I had the appearance of "gradient stripes" in the gradients when watching videos. I admit I was scared at first. It took me a while to figure out what the problem was: just disable the AMA (advanced motion accelerator) on the monitor. This solves the problem. As I don't play games, I can't say if this option really makes a difference, but for a better visual experience when watching videos (or working with video), I strongly advise to disable it, or at least not to choose the AMA Premium option in the settings. For me it is a very good screen.

But for gamers, there are other, cheaper alternatives that will be much more suitable. The HDR function of the screen is for me anecdotal, I never use it.

I'm not sure how to use this product, but I'm sure it's a great product. Delivered on time, and without a hitch.
We will see in time how this monitor will hold up.

    Unreliable product - avoid

Superb, feature-rich display, but unreliable BenQ quality.

First screen received and unpacked without difficulty. After 5 days of use, a green vertical line appears on the right side of the screen (see other customer with the same problem). Returned and refunded by LDLC thanks to their guarantee. Thank you for your help!

Second screen received and put into service without difficulty. After 45 days, the Thunderbolt 3 ports are no longer recognised. I will have to send it in for repair.

Conclusion = Perfect LDLC service - BenQ quality on this product is unreliable.
    Avoid the product.

    defective screen!

The screen was perfectly calibrated when it left the factory, very good colourimetry, very good image, choice of colour space.
On the second day, a vertical band the width of a pixel appeared at 13 cm from the right edge of the screen.this disappeared and reappeared 15 days later in a permanent manner.contact with LDLC who told me to contact Benq directly.this was done and the screen was sent back to the Netherlands at their expense. I am waiting for the return!
    My use: UHD video editing
