Return after more than a year of use
I explained in my previous review of the product that I preferred to read about my Samsung PLS LS27H850QFU which was affordable at a quarter of the price, and I found the colours on this screen "washed out". Maybe it was true. Maybe it was out of habit. I originally gave it 2.5 stars, and that was a bit harsh in my opinion.
+ No light leakage
+ Uniform light
+ Many colour modes, some of which are more suitable for reading, and others that bring out the colours in video games.
+ It's a great feature that allows me to use it as a second monitor on a laptop while charging the laptop. From now on, the presence of this port will be a prerequisite for the selection of a new screen.
- I still think that even the softest colour mode is a bit aggressive for prolonged reading. But there are ways to mitigate the problem by asking Windows to pull the colours towards red (Night light), by switching long PDF or online documents to dark mode when possible, or by buying a light bar that goes on the screen.
It should also be noted that, at the time I bought this screen, it was sold at 1200 euros.
I think that for the price at the time it was worth a good 4 stars.
