Great work tool
When I unpacked it, I was first pleasantly surprised by the stand of this monitor, which is very well designed and exudes quality. The monitor is adjustable in height, but also from left to right, and can even be switched to portrait mode (pivot function). Two of the four USB-A ports are located on the left side of the screen for easy access. Ergonomically speaking, it's a no-brainer.
The U3219Q has an HDMI 2.0 input, a DisplayPort 1.4 and above all a USB-C port (not Thunderbolt) capable of delivering 90W of power, ideal for using the monitor with a powerful laptop (Dell XPS 15, MacBook Pro 16). A USB 3.0 hub is also present as well as an audio port (3.5mm stereo). I also like the integrated power supply, which avoids the need for a huge power supply unit as is the case with competitors (LG).
As for the LCD panel, it is sublime. The colourimetry is excellent right out of the box (a calibration report is provided), the brightness is uniform, the grey gradations are magnificent. The matte coating avoids unwanted reflections. And 32" 4K, what a space!
The Dell U3219Q is a great workhorse that is equally at home in the office, photo editing and video editing. The only downside is that it's a mid-range device, with some light leaking from the bottom of the panel, which is only visible in a dark environment.)
