Simple and solid, no frills or kawaii LEDs. I bought it to recycle a laptop HDD, but I didn't pay attention that the case is "slim", so, too thin. No problem, it will come in handy again.
By the way, LDLC, keep on making products like this, and make them for 3" 1/2 drives too.
I'm not sure what to do with it, but I'm sure it's a good one. The LDLC logo was not necessary and I find it unacceptable to have to pay shipping costs to have the product delivered to the shop!
After replacing my HD with an SSD, I installed the old HD in this case. Simple, perfect. I now use it as a removable drive for backups.
easy to use, the screws are small but fit the case so nothing else to add, no bugs.
Be aware of the size of the drive you intend to install in this enclosure.
Having tried to fit a 2.5' drive referenced as 7mm, this case is too small in height, it is missing 2mm to fit.
This enclosure may be good for an SSD, but for a mechanical drive the "L" version of this enclosure was more suitable.
This case is very good. It is a good case, but it is not a good one, because it is a very good case. I bought to replace my hard disk of my laptop by a ssd and kept my old hard disk in external. I found myself with a case that was too thin and therefore not firm. I have to say that I am very pleased with the quality of the hardware and the screws and bolts included.

I wanted a case that was barely bigger than the disc to put inside it: objective met, it is barely bigger than my wallet. Sturdy aluminium case, the inner shell is plastic, but it is well protected by the case. HDD and SSD assembly with the 6 necessary screws in 2 minutes. Disassembly in 3 minutes because the connector is fierce, it defends the quality of the contact and does not let go of its prey so easily. Activity reported by a powerful blue LED, even when hiding the case under a book, you can see that it is working. Do not look at this LED in the face, otherwise it will turn you into trolls (or stone!). Ok in USB 3.0 (Linux Mint 19.1) and 2.0 (Windows 7). Cable length about 30cm. Tested with Seagate Barracuda 2Tb HDD (1.86Tb), finally mounted with a Samsung 8Tb SSD (7.3Tb), cool. The delivery time is exceptional: 21h30 between the click of the order validation and the handing over (mine) by the delivery man, without any particular request from me, come on, let's all stand up for LDLC.

The case is designed for 2.5" HDDs and is "slim". Perfect. The only problem is that it is so slim that most 2.5" HDDs don't fit inside. So you can connect the HDD to the plug to use it, but you can't fit it in the case. So check the dimensions of your HDD before you buy.
