Designed for experienced pilots who need complete, realistic controls, the Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS Hotas is the perfect replacement for your mouse or keyboard. It includes the T.16000M FCS joystick and the TWCS throttle.
Advanced flight simulator control system with backlit joystick and 5-axis throttle with 14 buttons.
Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS Hotas: For absolute precision
Designed for experienced pilots who need complete, realistic controls, the Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS Hotas is the perfect replacement for your mouse or keyboard. It includes the T.16000M FCS (Flight Control System) joystick and the TWCS (Thrustmaster Weapon Control System) throttle for an absolutely incomparable level of immersion.
The Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS Hotas is the ideal partner for gamers who want to engage the enemy with surgical precision.
Firm, linear and fluid tension
For unrivalled precision performance, the pitch and roll controls on the T.16000M FCS joystick feature H.E.A.R. technology. T HallEffect AccuRate Technology, which offers 16-bit resolution (16,000 x 16,000 values); an extreme level of precision, identical to that of the exclusive HOTAS Warthog joystick, enabling players to engage the enemy with surgical precision.
The T.16000M FCS features 4 independent axes, with a rotary rudder (controlled by the rotation of the joystick), 16 action buttons with physical identification of the buttons in "Braille language", an 8-way viewpoint Chinese hat and an ergonomic trigger. Its orange-accented casing and backlighting guarantee players an absolutely incomparable level of immersion.
Optimum comfort and extreme precision
Use your left hand and improve your agility in combat with the TWCS (Thrustmaster Weapon Control System) throttle. The lower position of the throttle compared with quadrant systems offers unrivalled comfort. And to provide enthusiasts with the full range of controls, it features 14 buttons and an 8-way Chinese viewpoint cap, in addition to those on the joystick. In all, you have 5 axes, 30 buttons, two 8-way Chinese hats and S.M.A.R.T. (Sliding Motion Advanced Rail Tracks)technology. S.M.A.R.T. offers an exclusive system of sliding rails to guarantee fluid, ultra-precise movement over the 80 mm travel of the throttle, for precise manoeuvring.
Innovative, high-performance software;
The fatal weapon of the Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS Hotas joystick is called T.A.R.G.E.T(Thrustmaster Advanced pRogramming Graphical EdiTor). This is a software suite that lets you create programmes of varying complexity using only the mouse, based on a 'drag and drop' principle. Several programming levels are available: 'Basic' for beginners, 'Advanced' for advanced functions and 'Script' for the full power of the software.
T.A.R.G.E.T. allows full interaction between different Thrustmaster USB controllers, simplified configurations in simulators, and the use of a single profile for all controllers rather than as many profiles as there are controllers. Finally, and this is a definite advantage, T.A.R.G.E.T includes predefined profiles for famous titles, recent and older, and moreover allows new profiles to be created!
Key features:
256 times greater precision than current systems (16-bit resolution: 16,000 x 16,000 values)
Fully ambidextrous joystick (thanks to 3 detachable components) with 16 action buttons with physical button identification plus an 8-way Chinese viewpoint hat
Coil spring (2.8 mm diameter) located inside the handle for firm, fluid tension
Ergonomic trigger to control speed brakes or rapid fire
Large hand rest to reduce fatigue
Weighted base for greater stability
Throttle lever with 14 action buttons, 5 (+3) axes and an 8-way Chinese point-of-view cap
H.E.A.R.T. technology HallEffect AccuRate Technology for surgical precision
S.M.A.R.T. technology for perfectly smooth and precise throttle movement
A mid-range HOTAS with excellent value for money. Don't expect a metal finish, but the plastic is of good quality. Joystick accuracy is excellent, nothing to say, and can be switched from right to left handed without any problem with the help of modifications included in the box, if necessary.
The throttle responds well, and the accuracy is also good.
However, the technology used for the rail mounted throttle can quickly become a handicap if you have not secured your controls with the screw threads under them.
Be sure to adjust the hardness of the throttle and possibly a can of WD40 if this is not enough!

Not bad but the quality leaves something to be desired
I bought this HOTAS to play Elite Dangerous. I spent about 300 hours on the game. I like the number of buttons available on the stick and overall I like the ergonomics. Only the throttle lever at the end of the throttle lever has the annoying tendency to do more than I ask it to (one press -> it throws 4). The same thing, the yaw axis of the stick sends micro-vibrations, it's not too sensitive in flight but in straight flight, the people who represent me keep oscillating the stick (same, the ship's vision oscillates).
So it works but it's annoying. I'm reluctant to put the warranty into play, first because it's going to deprive me of playing for a while, then because I'm afraid it's a general defect. I live with it but maybe I'll buy a Saitek when I have the money.

Great but one small flaw
It took me a while to make the post, because it's my first hotas. So I wanted to discover the gameplay with it and then get a constructive idea:
The sensitivity of the joystick seems to be a bit high, when I put my hand down, it already leans to the side of the palm (maybe this is normal).
Concerning the "throttle", I think they should have made it a bit heavier. Indeed when I want to decelerate, I move the whole lever. (with an anti-skid, the trick is played)
I'm very happy with the rest of it, lots of buttons in the right places, very practical.
I highly recommend it.

It could have been a good HOTAS but...
The first 6 months were pretty good, the joystick was nice and accurate at first. Except that after 6 months, with a little more than 300 hours of use on Elite Dangerous, the RZ axis (rotation on the vertical axis of the stick) started to vary by itself. This results in erratic movements (rolling to the left) while the stick is in the middle position without being touched. I am apparently not the only one to encounter this problem and I therefore invite you to inquire about this point before continuing your purchase. It's a direct return to the after sales service for me.
Be careful virtual pilot friends.

The pros of the simu
What to expect?
The big bosses of simulation hardware have produced a set of peripherals that are really cheap for the technology on board. 150€, no hesitation.
The joystick was already known. There's no need to boast about its precision, it's already been done by anyone who has used it. It's ambidextrous, so it's already winning over competitors who have forgotten that there are left-handed people (which is not my case). On the other hand, the throttle is not modular, which is impossible if you are looking for ergonomics.
Where it shines is its movement: no notches, true analog. The translation, in addition to being pleasant and realistic, avoids the problems of wear of the dead zone (in fact there is no dead zone, thus no wear).
Ergonomics is top notch, lots of buttons and so on that fall right under your fingers.
Thrustmaster's engineers thought of adding tapped metal inserts (M8, solid) for DIYers who would like to screw their set onto a support, or even two since the two peripherals are independent (BIG POINT). Thus, the stiffness of the joystick becomes a practical advantage as well as a guarantee of solidity.
I'm not worried about the lifespan. Many videos explain how to disassemble and grease the mechanical parts.
In this age of programmed obsolescence and crappy products, it's nice to come across such good stuff, so cheap. I just wish it wasn't an Asian kid assembling it. I'd rather build it myself (it's easier than lego).
Used on Elite Dangerous. Designed for this game by the way, you can tell by the colours. Made by players, for players. Top notch stuff.
