Very good
Top of the range equipment.
It is costal, almost everything is metal except the buttons.

With the HOTAS WARTHOG, a replica of the stick, dual throttle and throttle control panel from the US Air Force's A-10C attack aircraft, Thrustmaster is meeting the most demanding and specific requirements of its users.
Advanced flight simulator control system with joystick, backlit control panel and dual throttle (compatible with DCS, Flight Simulator, Star Citizen, Elite: Dangerous...).
With the HOTAS WARTHOG, a replica of the stick, dual throttle and throttle control panel from the US Air Force's A-10C attack aircraft, Thrustmaster is meeting the most demanding and specific requirements of its users. Weighing in at over 6.5kg and using metal for the stick, the joystick handles and the bases, the HOTAS WARTHOG joystick is physically imposing.
Add to this the 55 fully programmable action buttons, a TRIM wheel, two push buttons and realistic pressure force, and it's clear that the Thrustmaster HOTAS WARTHOG is the best on the market!
With 19 action buttons, the handle is extremely precise thanks to the use of H.E.A.R.T. magnetic sensor technology. The buttons and triggers on this control stick are pressed with the same force as in a real aircraft. What's more, it has a removable base so the joystick can be fixed in a cockpit without having to use the metal plate.
The Thrustmaster HOTA WARTHOG features a special dual throttle system for independent control of 2 engines: a locking system allows the 2 handles to be connected or disconnected. Here too, the magnetic sensor technology used ensures unrivalled precision. Switching between 'Idle' and 'Afterburner' positions is done via a Pull and Push system for even greater realism. The Afterburner can be disengaged, so it can be perfectly adapted to the type of aircraft being flown.
The control panel, the final mechanical component of the product, is particularly comprehensive. It includes a friction wheel for manual adjustment of throttle resistance to suit the user. It also has backlighting for the functions, which is very useful when flying at night, plus 5 programmable indicator lights. The base has fifteen action buttons, including numerous push-buttons with a hardness identical to that of a real aircraft and industrial metal switches(2 or 3 positions) with very realistic pressure.
The HOTAS WARTHOG joystick's lethal weapon is called T.A.R.G.E.T(Thrustmaster Advanced pRogramming Graphical EdiTor). This is a software suite that lets you create programmes of varying degrees of complexity using only the mouse, based on a 'drag and drop' principle. Several programming levels are available: 'Basic' for beginners, 'Advanced' for advanced functions and 'Script' for the full power of the software.
T.A.R.G.E.T. allows full interaction between different Thrustmaster USB controllers, simplified configurations in simulators, and the use of a single profile for all controllers rather than as many profiles as there are controllers. Finally, and this is a definite advantage, T.A.R.G.E.T includes predefined profiles for famous titles, recent and older, and moreover allows new profiles to be created!

As usual, LDLC's service is top notch, delivery is ultra fast, that's why I've been a customer for over 10 years now!
I went from an X52 Pro (which is already a satisfactory HOTAS solution by the way) to the Warthog and now it's another world! The whole thing exudes quality and the handling is fantastic. The physicalisation of the buttons on the throtle changes the approach to the simulation and offers quite versatile function assignment possibilities. Then, what really changes is the precision of the controls: the throttle allows a fine tuning of the power and the stick allows an incredible finesse in the manoeuvres. Moreover, the "metal" side of the stick and its ergonomics offer realistic sensations, coupled with the VR, you really feel like you're there.
If on Star Citizen, the switch from the X52 Pro to the Warthog doesn't drastically change the way you fly, on MSFS it's another story! I'm now waiting for Banana Corp (which does the same thing as Monstertech but in France) to finalize the installation of this incredible product.
The software seems complex at first, but with a little patience, it's easy to set up. Personally I don't use any special profile, I go directly through the games (Star Citizen and MSFS) to configure the keys.
In short, TL/DR, an exceptional product of quality and precision, if you like the air simulation and that you seek a solution with the top without ruining you completely, make the step, you will not regret it!
I have been a customer of LDLC for some time now and am very satisfied with their services. Very serious company I recommend 100 %.
The warthog is currently the only top-of-the-range hotas that really lives up to the expectations of this range.
The precision is remarkable, the handle may seem a bit hard for those who were on an x52 for example but you get used to it very quickly.
Be careful, a rudder is mandatory to use it correctly!
It's simply perfect, whether it's the ergonomics, the material, the model used for the reproduction, the number of buttons or the weight.
The only drawback is that the configuration software can be rather difficult to use for a non initiate.
