I ordered two 500 GB Western Digital disks that I received quickly and I am very happy with them, as they correspond to my expectations. I am very happy with my two purchases.
As a fan of Western Digital or Seagate drives, this drive is faster than the older versions for an equal capacity of 500GB. The 6GB/S sata III is really a plus especially for a drive that only supports the operating system. In addition there is 64MB of buffer memory. I used to use smaller capacity drives for the speed of reading.
I'm really pleased with the performance of this drive and highly recommend it, especially at this price!
I replaced my old 320GB hard drive with this WD 500TB hard drive and it's perfect, I can finally store lots of games with no worries about space!
It's fast, quiet and a great price!
Thank you in advance for taking the time to click "yes" if my review helped you.
Spare disk set up in a RAID1 cluster of 2 disks of the same reference in Software RAID under GNU/Linux Fedora distribution.
Long time fan of WD disks and no problems so far, so I hope it lasts.
Satisfied, yes.
My questions "today": why DD were guaranteed 3 years ago ... a long time ago ...
I'm still suspicious of programmed obsolescence. To be seen in time, then.
Product corresponding to what I was looking for: WD for system disk (reinstallation of W7) of a PC equipped with 4 other DD for video editing. Installed 3 weeks ago, everything is fine. In my experience, Western Digital HDDs are "noisier" than competitors but a bit faster, more reliable and solid.
Hard disk mounted on a PC, but I notice that it is noisy, and that worries me a little. To be continued.
