Simple and efficient administrationTheEasy Smart switch 5 Port Gigabit TL-SG105E offers network monitoring to observe traffic behaviour. With port replication, loopback prevention, and Ethernet link diagnostics, the TL-SG105E can identify and even locate connection problems in your corporate network. In addition, administrators can prioritise traffic using IEEE802.1P or per-priority, to ensure that voice and video are always smooth and latency-free.
To enhance security and network performance, the TL-SG105E supports VLAN MTU, per-port VLAN and 802.1Q VLAN functions. The TL-SG105E is a good upgrade product for an unmanaged switch, offering many features to improve your network and user experience. |
Save energy with your networkNow you have the choice to go green when you upgrade to a gigabit network! This next generation Easy Smart switch 5 Port Gigabit TL-SG105E incorporates the latest energy-efficient technologies that can dramatically increase your network capacity with much less power consumption. It automatically adjusts power consumption based on link status and cable length to limit your network's carbon footprint.
When a computer or network device is turned off, the corresponding port on a switch will continue to consume significant amounts of power. The TL-SG105E can automatically detect the status of each port and reduce the power consumption of ports that are idle. |
Power budget by cable lengthIdeally, shorter cables consume less power and generate less current loss along their length, which is not the case with most devices that use the same amount of power through the cable regardless of whether it is 10 or 50 metres long.
The TL-SG105E analyses the length of the connected Ethernet cable and adjusts the power consumption accordingly, instead of keeping the amount of power the same for each port in a conventional solution. |
Easy to implementThe TL-SG105E is easy to use and manage. The Auto MDI / MDI-X function on all ports avoids the use of crossover cables or Uplink ports. Auto-negotiation on each port detects the connection speed of a network device (among 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps) and adjusts its communication automatically to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
Its compact size makes it ideal for desktops with limited space, convenient and secure.LEDs provide real-time port status and allow basic troubleshooting. |

Very practical and compact little switch.
I didn't test the admin interface because I don't need any specific configuration.
It is provided with a small power transformer (sometimes not provided on POE switches: power over ethernet).
