I ordered this laptop because I wanted a Linux system for my 10-year-old daughter's return to school in 2024/2025. It's great for office use, really reliable and fluid. She and I are delighted. I'd recommend it.

Bought in a hurry to replace a 13-year-old gamer laptop that had given up the ghost.
Positive points - it's the only one:
- Quiet
Negative points in spades:
- Wi-Fi card from another era, maximum speed 120 Kb/s, my old PC with its antique Wi-Fi card reached 50 Mb/s.... Wi-Fi taken from the phone then shared via usb on the PC, and now I'm getting decent speeds, thank goodness in the BIOS you can disable the Wi-Fi bluetooth module.
- Catastrophic thermal management: simply zipping up a 100 MB archive causes the PC to rise to 90°C and shut down abruptly, which is great for your peripherals, which can be cut off at any time, killing them in no time.
The PC shuts down when you're really doing 2 things at once (surfing the net with only one tab open, listening to music via vlc), never seen that on a Linux...
However, in the BIOS I've selected the Max Battery profile but that doesn't change anything.
- SSD from Foresee, unknown brand, new PC, but SSD with already THAT 96% of life left according to smart data, after only a 24 hour purchase, my 9 year old SSD still has 97% of life left!
You can smell the SSD going down the drain.
Even for light use, very light even, it's still a lunar disaster, and as it was picked up in a shop, it's impossible to retract, so 200€ are going to rot away at the bottom of the cellar.
It's even too expensive for what it is, this PC....
Even using my Debian Linux XFCE, which is lighter than this linux mint cinnamon, I have the same comments to make.
Where even less powerful PCs (AMD sempron 3000+) fared better!
Very good PC.
Very quiet as there are no fans.
I like the 12v power supply, which is much more practical for recharging in the car.
Very nice little laptop bought for my mum. The design is very clean and very high quality.
The Linux Mint inside is customised in LDLC colours and, at first glance, everything works very well!
The partitioning is very clean by default, with only a 512 MB EFI partition and everything else for the system, so no wasted space.
Responsive, fine design, inexpensive, ultra-fast delivery, it's 10/10 for now!

I had to replace my laptop as a matter of urgency. Only LDLC was open near Bergerac between . I went there on the tightest of budgets. After a great deal of attention from the seller, he ended up offering me this little laptop running Linux mint cinamon. Having already had Linux, I went in with my eyes closed. Nothing to say, it does the job for office automation and basic multimedia.
For the price, it's a good laptop that does the job. I have a few doubts about the durability of the connections, as USB sticks are hard to push in. The trackpad sensitivity is average, but I'm not very used to this instrument. Otherwise, the screen is good and the keyboard is fine.
Nothing to complain about, the laptop I ordered met my expectations and the quality/price ratio is more than satisfactory!
I myself have another laptop that I ordered from you over 11 years ago and it still works very well.

- The laptop is much faster than my old one from 2012, which was a top-of-the-range model, and this one is more of a bottom-of-the-range model!
- Battery life is around 5 hours. We'll have to wait and see how it evolves as the battery ages.
- The 1st task was to install MXlinux, a separate partition for home and spare partitions for a possible different flavour of Linux.
- The 2nd task was to stick stickers on the keyboard because I'm allergic to AZERTY. I use a modified Swiss keyboard (QWERTY) which allows me to write comfortably in French, German, English and Spanish.
- The numeric keypad is non-standard. This is particularly annoying when you frequently switch between a keyboard with a standard numeric keypad and this one.
Confusion is guaranteed.
- It's a pity that there's no dedicated num lock (you have to press Fn F12 to be able to use the 'Home' or Page Up / Page Down functions). I'd be tempted to add a standard external numeric keypad, but you'd have to carry it with you wherever you go...
- The blue-on-grey lettering (for Fn functions) is practically invisible except in bright sunlight.
- It's also a shame that there's no RJ45 connection. I had to buy an expensive adapter, as the cheap ones don't work very well.
On the whole, I'm satisfied with this laptop, but there are a few things that make me itch.
Second computer of this type, bought this time for my personal use.
Perfectly suited to my needs: office automation, internet + a bit of programming (IDE/Arduino) at a basic level.
A very good point for the after-sales service: the computer I received had a faulty battery. After a phone call, the standard exchange was carried out very quickly.
Hello, the drivers available for download for Windows 11 on your site are not working, in particular the video driver is causing problems. The intel 605 chipset is not recognised, a triangle appears in the device manager. Windows 11 replaces this driver with a generic one from 2006.
In addition, the battery operates for less than 30 minutes, after which it must be connected to the mains.

Very good value for money. Good computer for internet and office use. I had no experience of SSD memory, it's very fast.
After some doubt and hesitation, I opted for this model with the Linux system, as I'm a computer neophyte and was brought up on Windows,
I was a bit lost with Linux at first, but I got used to it after several consultations and as many readings of forums (which, I admit, are not always understandable for people in my category).
The PC is simple, battery life is good and the software library is very useful.
After installing Linux Ubuntu on dozens of LDLC laptops for friends, I can go on holiday with peace of mind.
LDLC now has laptop versions pre-installed with Linux Mint for 5 or 10 euros more than the non-OS versions, and I'll be able to recommend this configuration to friends without having to install Linux for them.
For office use and video games the SPC-N is perfect (I tested the football world cup in full screen video), if you need more power choose the SPC-I.
For the more curious, I've also installed Ubutu 22.04 and OpenKylin 1.0 on it. Everything works perfectly in a three-OS multi-boot.
And the icing on the cake is the 2.5-inch SATA disk slot !!!! I installed the drive from a broken laptop containing Win11 and Ubuntu 20.04. Everything works perfectly, and for this range of hardware, having a SATA slot available via a hatch is an exception that must be highlighted.
The only minor drawback in my first few uses was that the power connector was so thin that I put it in the headphone socket twice, complaining that it didn't charge ;-), but after two times I'd memorised which was the right side for the charger.
As expected and quickly delivered. I recommend the site. I will see in use whether the product ordered is reliable.
Linus is not practical. For the price of the computer I thought I would at least be able to use it simply, this is not the case at all
The big plus : Delivered with a Linux ! You get the zip with the drivers before you buy the computer. Affordable price.
The big - : No RJ45 plug, you have to use the wifi !
No + or - : No optical drive.
The + of the keyboard : < and > easy to access. Not backlit (=does not heat up). Normal size directional keys. Numeric keypad.
The - of the keyboard: Screen print key in "fn" and not in direct access (so if you have to make a capture before the screen changes, it's dead). Power key is a "keyboard key" and not a "physical button": under windows you have to press for 5 seconds to ask to stop, and no possibility to "force stop". Simple azerty. The keys are a bit too big.
With Linux, there must be a way to reassign some keys, but it's a bit of a hassle.
Computer bought for my mother, who was put off by the slowness of her previous computer (bought in 2014 under Windows); convincing her to switch to Mint was a bit complicated, but she is now very happy with the hardware and the OS.
Ordered, received quickly, perfect.

I was wondering about the administrator password, well no worries, when creating the user account, I am also the administrator.
I already knew Mint, I don't plan to install another system. To the installed Cinnamon flavour, I added the XFCE flavour, simply via the software library or by typing: sudo apt install xfce4. The choice of the "flavour" is made on the screen where you sign.
The battery has a decent life, but the day it will be flaky, I hope the change will be easy.
The layout of the number pad takes a bit of getting used to, '+' and '-' are not on top of each other and there is no 'enter' key at the bottom right, but the dot or delete.
You get used to it.
For those who are looking for a very affordable laptop with a system that is different from what is sold everywhere, and definitely more secure than its rival, I recommend this laptop.
Perfect for office work and surfing the web. Excellent alternative to Windows 11. Thank you LDLC for offering us this new range!
The equipment was received within the announced timeframe (collection in shop), perfect.
Problem: The day after the first start-up, the touchpad no longer works. The next day, the PC does not work anymore! It switches off spontaneously 1 to 3 minutes after starting up, which is annoying...
After a few technical exchanges, the after-sales service, competent and efficient, proceeded to a standard exchange in a few days.
The second copy works very well after a month of continuous use.
The good points : OS pre-installed Linux Mint 20.3. Battery life: over 4 hours. Large screen.
I have a small reservation on the ergonomics of the keyboard: no separation of the groups of keys (function keys, numeric keypad, direction keys).
Conclusion: A good value laptop for office use, simple photo processing and internet.
I appreciate the empty SATA slot for placing an additional internal hard drive (note: only 7mm thick drives). I find the processor and SSD drive sufficient for office/multimedia use. The fact that there are two USB3 ports (type A) is a plus, as many laptops only offer one. And there is a USB C port for those interested. However, the SD card port is made for micro-SD, which doesn't suit me and forced me to buy a USB adapter. I would have preferred a normal SD card port (and if needed I put the micro-SD in an SD adapter). I like the economy of installing Linux. If you already have Windows, you can install it as you like afterwards. And now the big black spot, which deserves 2 stars less. The RAM. It's not a removable chip, but it's soldered to the motherboard, so you can't replace it with a bigger one, and you can't add a new one either, because there's no empty SODIMM slot. You have to make do with the 8 GB. Fortunately I didn't plan to use it very intensively. But it could have been a dream machine if you could upgrade the RAM.
