Good product but with a few design flaws
the product corresponds exactly to the description and works very well (I'm posting my review almost 3 years later)
but there are a few design and pricing problems which, in my opinion, don't justify the price at all (300€):
- the sound pick-up distance is very small compared to other headsets that cost much less
- the Audeze software is really outdated
- the outer layer of foam above the head and around the ears crumbles over the years
- the volume is not controlled by Windows ... so you always have to adjust the sound level using the physical dial
- the headset is a bit too heavy to keep on your head for too long
the sound quality is very good, and the microphone is really not bad for a wifi headset, but if I had to buy a headset I'd go for a hyperX headset almost 3 times cheaper for almost the same sound quality for 99% of normal uses gaming, spotify, youtube (except for audiophiles who make sound, in which case the penrose is the best wireless headset under 300€)Review automatically translated -

Disappointing
I have had major problems with this product.
Loss of wireless connection
Abnormal greying
Despite a firmware update the problems persist

Yeah
The audio quality is good. No worries there.
But the range is totally lousy
After 7 months of use I'm tired of hearing "connected. "connected." every time I walk 20 feet in my apartment.
I don't buy a wireless headset to have such a lousy rangeReview automatically translated -

A good headset but only problems ...
Hello,
I am here to modify my previously posted opinion about this headset. After 1 month and a half of use I have unfortunately seen the problems accumulate. First a noise of breath in the left earpiece, then a problem of autonomy (5/6h maximum) and finally a noise of crumpled aluminum foil in the right earpiece as soon as one moves the head...
I'm disappointed, the headset has the best audio spectrum I've ever heard, but then all these defects come to spoil the experience and it's a shame. I feel that these headphones are very, very fragile and that they do not last long. I would like to say that I take extreme care of my stuff (I always put the helmet in its original foam after use). In short, I am sending the helmet to the after sales service but if I had to do it again I would probably take a helmet from another brand. It's a shame because the sound is really very very good otherwise...Review automatically translated -

Very good audio headphones
I'm going to give you my opinion after about ten hours of using this headset. Of course this is only my opinion and it is subjective.
The positive points:
- well designed headset, easy to access buttons, ultra simple connectivity to the PC.
- The audio quality is exceptional and far superior to other headphones I have tested. It's a great way to rediscover music and video games.
- The headset is comfortable to wear despite its weight.
The negative points:
- The presence of a murmur or white noise (very slight but perceptible) when the headset is turned on. Once you have sound in the headset it is not heard at all. If you update the headset and turn off the microphone, you won't hear the noise anymore (or you'll have to be really picky...)
- the headphones must be plugged in USB to switch from one preset to another and modify its settings.
- microphone a little big (but of good quality contrary to what I could see)
Conclusion: If you are looking for a gaming headset + movie and music player with the best possible audio quality in this price range then you can buy it with your eyes closed. On the other hand, if audio quality is not the most important element for you in a headset but the whole package (light/RGB/ superior microphone for streaming/ etc..) then I advise you to get another headset.Review automatically translated -

A shame
How can you sell such an expensive product with so little reliability?
I have exchanged it 3 times, for different problems. The sound is good, but the rest ... random USB connection (on several PCs), not more than 5m from the PC, otherwise it cuts out, and only pb ... I have several headsets at home, for the kids, I see the difference.
I've been using it for a while now, but it's a good idea to get it back. Thank you LDLC for the perfect service.Review automatically translated -

Best gaming headset available
As an audiophile I was looking for a very good headset for my ps5 and movie.
I tried a logitech g pro x (best value for 100e), the mmx300 with creative sound card and the astro a50
Well the penrose is good in every way too
Really happy with my purchase
The only thing I don't like is that the headset is nice and very comfortable, but the design could be a bit more modern (nothing serious for me as it remains sober)Review automatically translated -

Already 2 replacements ...
Hello,
I used to have the Mobius, but I wanted to "detach" and go wireless .... big mistake so far!
The first one started to malfunction after a few months, with a sound of aluminium in the right part (without connection, empty ...), SAV LDLC, at the top, sent back a new one ... which malfunctioned again after a few weeks. This time, it is a crackling in the ear, which disappears after 30 min ... I've been using it for a while now and it's not working. I'm waiting for the new one to be delivered, but I'm very disappointed with the quality ...

High-end helmet
HDG headphones with good sound quality and comfort. The range is quite low.
I've been using them for a while now, but I'm not sure I'll be able to use them again in the future.
I would not recommend this headset today as it stays plugged in 24 hours a day. I should have gone for the mobius for this use.Review automatically translated -

Quite disappointed
I had high hopes for this helmet. After several weeks of research and hesitation with competing models, I decided on the Penrose.
In the end, the headset does indeed produce a clear and quality sound for gaming, however several points really disappointed me:
- the actual range of the wireless headset is only a few meters (about 5-7 m)
- weak microphone
- microphone producing noise in the chat
- freez
- fragility with complete replacement of the headset less than 6 months after purchase.
For the price, I don't recommend it.Review automatically translated -

Great sound
Great sound, deep, rich and detailed and easy to locate sounds
However, it is a shame that you cannot connect the headphones via USB, only the charging and firmware update is done via USB
The range of the dongle is a bit shortReview automatically translated
