Very good, not disappointed

I like: Very good screen, I bought it following the replacement of my Acer Predator XB271HKBMIPRZ 4k screen which ended its life with the burnt out circuit board (rip). I chose to go with a lower resolution, but I take comfort in the fact that I have a lot more FPS with this screen, because unfortunately having an RTX 2080 Ti Lightning Z 11GB is not enough to play in ultra 4k on some games. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use the screen for the basic settings, but I think the colours are too "burnt" but after some adjustments it's perfect. No dead pixels, really no defects to report. And the joystick to browse the osd is excellent. I like it less: Doesn't do coffee, but that's not a big deal, I don't drink coffee. Conclusion: The screen is perfect (except if you want to make coffee with it it's a failure).

50 dead pixels at the top right of the screen

The screen is beautiful, but the first time I turn it on, surprise, 50 dead pixels, contact ASUS to tell me that they do not have it in stock! Waiting for a return from LDLC to see how my screen will be taken care of.

Use with a CG 7800XT CPU 13700K, very good 2k screen, perfect for video games.

Display out of order after 4 years!

Same problem as my neighbour downstairs:
Display out of order (horizontal black stripes between the lines all over the screen) after 4 years of use. Bad luck, Asus guarantees it for 3 years and didn't want to know...

        Quality screen

Pleasantly surprised by this screen. There's not much to complain about apart from the sound quality, which is a little light. Very good value for money, I'd recommend it.

        Super screen

It's the perfect combination of speed (1ms, 165Hz) and image beauty (HDR10, 27"). What's more, it's so affordable for what it can do (it's possible in Windows to set it to 4K) that I'm getting a second one!

        Perfect, a must!

Bought as a replacement for a 24" at the end of its life, this ASUS 27" LED is really well designed, with rotation on its axes, vertically or horizontally, front and rear and of course in height, with a welcome smoothness on a very stable base. The look is both robust and modern. Set up in just a few minutes, and once up and running, the image is sharp and the contrasts pleasant. The rear adjustments using the mini joystick are comprehensive and quick to configure. Although the maximum frequency is 165 Hz, I leave it at 144 Hz because beyond that the difference becomes increasingly minimal. 144 Hz is quite sufficient for the fluidity of games such as Ark at maximum in terms of parameters, backed up by a 4070. So in terms of the average budget, this screen is perfect for a good configuration.
As always, LDLC's service is perfect, as is the low price and 48-hour delivery.

Very good quality screen, no noticeable problems with the ips panel,
Hdr a little weak, which only adds a "filter" to the image.

        More than Perfect

It's a great screen with beautiful contrasts that make a change from my 60hz (my eyes thank me :p), it's very easy to assemble (2min), a menu in French filled with nice options. I don't regret my purchase.

        Good screen

This screen is a good one, but having been a G-Sync enthusiast since the beginning, I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed with G-Sync on this screen, which is finally "G-sync compatible".
On my other G-Sync screen, the G-Sync chip is built into the screen, unlike G-Sync Compatibility (software). And it has to be said that G-Sync Compatibility on this screen is obviously inferior.
Apart from that, it's still a good screen.

        Very good screen

I switched from a Full HD screen (also from ASUS) to this QHD screen, and the difference is really noticeable.
The picture is superb, even in QHD / 60 Hz mode.
Now it's my PC that's slowing down and preventing me from using the QHD / 144 Hz mode :-(

        planned obsolescence

I paid over £500 for it when I bought it, the warranty is up and it's no longer working (even though I still have an old viewsonic next door that works perfectly).
I'd advise you to avoid it if you want a screen for the long term.

Top for playing games and editing my photos

Ordered a while ago, I've had time to try it out:
Quite a few settings available directly via the screen
        360° swivel
        Bright

The sound is a little weak, so bring speakers or headphones if you want to play in good conditions.
The sRGB mode is a little too dull for my taste.

Good screen quality, good finish and clear interface
HDMI and DP cables included ????
I bought this as a replacement for a full HD screen (bought a week earlier) and 2k is ultimately the smallest acceptable resolution for this size of screen while maintaining picture quality

Good screen but for 400€ I'm still hungry

        Advantages :
        - Quality of manufacture. It's still plastic, but solid. The screen does not look cheap like some others.
        - Very vivid colours even at low brightness (after adjustment).
        - Sober design
        - Reduced depth compared to many other screens. Useful for desktops that are not very deep

        Disadvantages :
        - IPS glow in the bottom right corner (button side), clearly visible in dark scenes. No IPS glow in the other 3 corners, so I consider myself lucky.
        - No USB port. It's a shame for this price. I was used to plugging peripherals (webcam, light) directly into my old screen.
        - The edges are not that thin, especially since there are some black pixels around the image in addition to the edges.
        - Many people say that 2K is the ideal resolution for a 27", but in reality you can still see the pixels.

I'm happy with my purchase, it's a good screen. But for 400€ I expected better.
One day we'll have 27" OLEDs in 4K for this price and then we'll be able to say that a milestone has been reached, but unfortunately we'll have to wait a few more years...

        Definitely not for sale !!!!

If you want to waste your time and money order this screen!
After 2 orders for this model, both have a HUGE amount of IPS GLOW!
This technology is sensitive but enough is enough!
At this price it's just intolerable this kind of defect ! It contaminates the entire slab and all immersion.
Asus must really review the quality control because marketing this kind of screen is nonsense.
        Asus NEVER again!

I'm going to finish with a positive point: image quality with the screen off.

I've been waiting for this to happen, but I'm sure it will...

After a little more than two years of use, it is time to give an informed opinion.
As far as display quality is concerned, nothing to complain about. It's night and day with my old TN Iiyama screen which was still doing its job during 6 years of intensive use. The colour rendering is top notch with this IPS panel as well as its reactivity and ergonomics.
For a purely cinema screen it would perhaps be preferable to take a VA panel for darker blacks, but it remains perfectly versatile in all uses!

Finally, I was very happy to have taken the 0 dead pixel guarantee because the quality control of ASUS is deplorable: 1st screen 2 dead pixels. 2nd screen 3 dead pixels. Fortunately, the 3rd shipment was flawless...
I can only praise the seriousness and responsiveness of LDLC's after-sales service, which proves once again the seriousness of this company, even in the middle of the COVID period (at the time of purchase)!

The image is really sharp! I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use it in a gaming environment, but I'm sure it's a good idea to use it in a gaming environment.
In my case, it's very practical to have 2 HDMI inputs: I use it for my desktop PC + as a second screen for a laptop.
The integrated speakers can help but it's better to connect other speakers for music and videos.

        Excellent gaming display

Very good screen for gaming, the rendering quality in game (with the appropriate graphics card) is great, super smooth. The screen has an adjustable stand which is very nice.
One negative point would be the difficulty to adjust the colorimetry correctly, which with the default settings, can quickly make the image very saturated, but if you know a little bit about it it should not be a problem.

        Top

This monitor is beautiful. I use it for gaming and office work with a KVM switch.
I must admit that the WHQD 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution on a 27" is great, much better than a Full HD.
        Very happy with this purchase.

        unbeatable quality/price

        - I have very slight light leaks on the bottom left and right, but nothing annoying, it's almost not visible.
        - Checking the settings and adjustments in 10 min max, time to understand.
        - light screen but a bit heavy stand

conclusion: i think that for 165htz ips without ghosting, you won't find such a clean one cheaper

Don't get me wrong, this is a very good quality screen.
The images and renderings are just top notch, however, I do have a few flaws on mine:
Light leaks in the lower corners and a slight pixel defect on the top of the screen but not that annoying even if it is true that I would have preferred to receive a screen without any defect for this price.

        A really great screen!

A screen that I bought to replace mine (Asus vg248qe) because the TN panel did not fit anymore with my projects, I did not need too big and frankly I do not regret it! The VG27AQ is really great, no dead pixels, the screen arrived in its original box so no LDLC goodies (shame haha) and the rendering in game is perfect! I recommend it to you!

        Superb screen

I had hesitated for a long time... I almost gave in to the idea of a curved one...
Finally, I listened to the advice of a friend.
IPS panel, better colours, top response time.
27 inches is more than enough.
I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to use it in the future, but I'm sure I'll be able to use it in the future.
You have to play with the joystick on the screen. And then you discover a new screen.
For photo editing, laxdalle ips is what you need.

        Good value for money

Nice monitor that gives a nice thin, fluid, bright and fast image in games.
Ergonomic, lots of settings in the menus.
G-Sync, HDR, Speakers, etc... everything is there.
My daughter discovered that the screen can display a viewfinder for FPS.
In short, it's an ASUS and I've never been disappointed by this brand.

        Fully satisfied

I bought my first screen last year. To date, still as complete and satisfied...I bought a second one for a dual screen set-up.

If I had to quibble, it would be for the HDR. With a peak of 400 nits, it is clearly not one of its strong points but apart from this detail it does what is asked of it.
I did not suffer from the lack of usb hub. I highly recommend it.

        Correct but not without reproach

The screen is really nice the image is nice but light bleeding at the bottom two corners which is not too disturbing ...
The Gsync compatibility is just excellent.
The HDR is amazing and gives exceptional depth!

I will compare it to my 300 euros screen "Asus VG248QE 24'' LED Full HD 144Hz 1ms" TN panel

The colour quality is not easy to adjust the original 2k image is a bit yellowed especially in the white but after some adjustments we manage to reduce it. The black is not easy either because with the light bleeding you have to make concessions on the settings. Compared to my 1080p TN, the eye has to get used to it.

The luminosity is correct and does not explode the eyes, which is a good point.

I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use the same settings as the 1080p TN, but I'm sure it's a good idea to use the same settings as the 1080p TN.

Overall I am satisfied with the product but the light bleeding is disappointing for a screen at this price even if it remains discreet in games or on a colored image, however the black, dark scene are missed because of this and gives a shallow image ....

        Excellent screen in general

The colour fidelity is good from the start, and the contrast is also very good for IPS. The panel is very homogeneous, difficult to find a defect.

There is some light leakage in the bottom corners, as with all IPS screens I've seen, but it's very modest, I only see it at night in a dark picture.

I still find it a bit too bright at minimum brightness, it could be a bit more comfortable for content with a white background. You can live with it or play with the contrast/software curves etc.

The 165Hz and adaptive sync are a joy to enjoy optimal fluidity in all circumstances (provided you can sustain a good framerate in games of course), and better sharpness to follow moving objects. The reactivity of the panel is however perfectible, the ghosting and/or the reverse ghosting are well present. Input lag is absent, and we feel really connected to what we see.

The black image insertion mode is quite special. The screen overcompensates for the drop in brightness and you end up with an even brighter screen at minimum. If you deactivate the adaptive sync, this feature improves the sharpness of moving objects, even if some crosstalk remains. With adaptive sync on, the effect is much less effective, but I can do without it.

Enabling HDR sacrifices contrast as well as non-HDR rendering to allow the screen to reproduce brighter lights. In games that support it and with the right settings you can enjoy a better rendering than the basic one. But if HDR is an important criterion for you, there are probably better things to do at this price, and ideally you'd have to pay more than €1000.

The controls are good, but 2 buttons are used as shortcuts to gimmicky features, it would have been better to be able to quickly access the favorites or the brightness.

        Great screen

I bought this monitor for photo editing and gaming, I calibrated it with an X-rite i1Display Studio probe on sRGB mode to have a faithful rendering for my prints.
In gaming it is also very good with its 144 hz.
The menu is easy to access and very intuitive which is not often the case.
        A purchase that I don't regret for a second.

        Asus 27" LED display - VG27AQ

The screen is perfect I give 8 out of 10 for two points even if one of the 2 points is already quoted by a previous buyer and that did not put me off is that the 165hz displayed are only available if the overclock option is activated in the screen menu which is not written anywhere else you stay at 144hz.
The second point is that the screen is in my opinion a little low even at the maximum height of the stand so much so that it is necessary to lean back to turn it in portrait mode.

I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have a screen that's a little too low, but it's a good idea to have a screen that's a little too low....

        - Very good contrast even in the environment of some games (Cyberpunk)

        Can do better

        Player xbox one x.
The positive this screen has beautiful colours, good grip in the menu. Doesn't hurt my eyes.
The negative: the xbox allows me hdr 10 but the screen marks me hdr off. So no hdr!!! No manual on the screen just a garentie paper.
        Can't play in 1440p at 120hz.
To play at 120 hz you have to be in 1080p.
When I play witcher 3 for example when the game loads there is an image that is all pixelated ugly and when the game launches no pixels too weird and very frustrating.
        The sound is horrible.
There is a lot of light leakage in the 4 corners of the screen.
        No usb port.
I tested both hdmi's with the hdmi cable that came inside.
I made an impulse purchase that I regret because this screen is worth 150 e not more.
I'm on my 4th screen and it's still the same on paper well, on reviews, and screen test site but in real big disappointment at 450 €.
        I don't recommend this screen.

        Very good

I switched from a 23" to a 27" for work. Very nice change.
120kh mode works well (tested in Minecraft by my son).
        I recommend it.
LDLC shipping was perfect, as usual.

        Excellent display

Low energy product, perfect in all aspects except one: the sound is too low. Ideal for playing but also for working ????

Great picture, and very good footing!

Sometimes comments can be negative no matter what pc you buy, its reputation and its price.
This screen is for me the best choice in 1440p 27", with 144Hz minimum, that if goes up to 165Hz, just go in the settings.
I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use the screen as a standalone monitor, but it's a good idea to use the screen as a standalone monitor.
The price is the quality of the materials used in the stand, the height is adjustable over 10 cm, and it can rotate 180 degrees from left to right, and in depth, and no "play" in the joints.
        Very happy with my purchase.

Second opinion after more than 6 months of use

I had left a very positive review, 10/10 after receiving and first testing the product.
I leave a second one to say that after 6 months of use I have a dead pixel on the screen, and as there is only 1 I can't make the warranty work. It's not very annoying but it's still a bit painful for a screen at this price...
It's still a very good screen! But it's a pity that so quickly I had a problem, and a pity that nothing is possible because the problem is not important enough.

        Perfect!

Simple and very well made. Works great with the PS4. Low glare and lots of pre-configured modes

Very good screen, very good support

Excellent screen, with deep blacks, very pleasant to use (office and game).
Multi-screen use is particularly flexible due to the stand, which adapts to all situations.

        another dimension

Good screen. be careful to have an adequate graphics card. for my part a 1060 6GB does the minimum of the job.

        Perfect for gaming?

The g-sync really allows to gain in fluidity in the image in the games it is impressive, especially at 165 fps if the game is not too greedy and that the graphic card allows it!
The HDR works great too, personally I have lowered the contrast by default otherwise it blows me away.
And the 1440p in 27 inches is ultra comfortable nothing to say.

        A very nice screen

A very good screen at a very attractive price. No worries for the moment it works really well

        I like it:
        - The colour spectrum and the faithful resolution
        - The 165 Hz OC
        - G-SYNC compatibility
        - Intuitive navigation menu
        - External transformer easy to change in case of failure
        - Looks solid
        - Secure packaging

        I like less :
        - G-SYNC compatibility and not a built-in module
        - No USB hub

In conclusion: a very very good screen, not so expensive for what it offers.

        Best screen on the market

Received quite quickly, quality in games 10/10 ;) 165 fps 1ms 2k nothing to complain about :) high end screen.
Only negative point 5/10 is the speaker which is bof, we hear the sound well.
I recommend it you will not be disappointed :)

        High performance but disappointing quality

The screen was delivered with only its original box as protection. The screen arrived in a box with the stigma of the delivery drivers.
The screen itself has defects, surface damaged in one place, white spot of the backlight and especially the screen lets infiltrate regularly insects ...
I quickly had insects wandering around in the screen. That is, between the LCD panel and its protective layer. Something that had never happened to me although I must have owned a dozen LCD screens (with or without speaker option). I now have dead bugs in my screen which always reminds me of the pain of having paid 500 euro for a good but poor quality product.
The comfort pack was of no use to me in solving this problem and I'm still waiting for ASUS support for a replacement.

        Excellent screen, very nice image

A bit expensive but an amazing picture compared to my Samsung chg70 which honestly is worthless and always broken. The iPS is much more beautiful and thinner than the Oled. I've chosen Asus and at last I've got a perfect image and absolute compatibility with my RTX 2080, both in games and in video or apps this screen is really up to the task. The only downside is the absolute lack of USB connector on the screen. I'm not sure if it's a good one or not, but I'm sure it's a good one. I've been using it for a while now, but it's a great product.
