What can I say, except great screen, good colours, good contrast, adjustable feet very practical, thanks ldlc
The screen has the features I expected.
1440x2560 resolution
Correct DCI P3 coverage
Screen sufficient to have a minimum of versatility
Correct ergonomics (adjustable height and tilt)
As a weak point I would say:
- the brightness could be better
- the integrated speakers are not great... it's just a matter of having them...
I was so disappointed with this monitor that I wanted to send it back, but I had thrown away the packaging... So I sold it a week after I bought it.
The monitor is very well made, with a well made and adjustable metal stand, and the menu is full of possibilities. The colours are very nice (but very bright, even garish for the primary colours like blue or red). On the other hand, the maximum brightness is really dark and the contrast options are limited, to the point that it becomes painful when playing night scenes. In RDR2, my character had to take out a lantern to walk in the woods because I couldn't see anything (note, it adds to the realism...). After doing a tour of the reviews, it seems that it's a design choice... See the review by Tom's Hardware, really useful: it shows that the Nitro XV272U has an actual maximum brightness of less than half of the Gigabyte M27Q.
Also, the temperature choice for white is rather strange, with a white that is never "pure" compared to other monitors (it defaults to very yellow, and I couldn't really find a setting that suited me: even the "natural" was yellowish while the "cool" was blue).
So a big disappointment.
First time I bought a screen at this price, and I'm delighted!
/!\ Just be careful with the power port which will have a bit of play, you have to plug it in properly /!\
IPS panel, 144Hz, 1440p and 27" is really great for gaming, watching videos or editing/drawing
The colours are vibrant, frankly if you're hesitating to get a high end screen when you see the prices, this one is well worth the price, I recommend.
The sound coming out of the screen is surprisingly nice too. Not having bought for its audio, I wasn't looking at that aspect, but for a console or even TV screen, I honestly think it will be fine, I even plan to get the same screen instead of a smart TV to play the console.
In the end 9/10, it loses a point just because the port really scared me, I thought it was defective, but you just have to force it well (without breaking of course) otherwise it's perfect, I don't regret my purchase.
Great screen,
The colours are superb, the 144hz at 1ms makes it super fluid
And don't forget the QHD HDR which is superb. The games are so much more beautiful I will not be able to go back to FHD.
It's a great way to get a good look at the game.
Very good image quality with a lot of modes and settings that are quite easy to access (the buttons would have been better if they were on the bottom right hand side instead of the back but you get used to it). The stand is quite well calibrated and you can adjust the height/tilt of the screen. The 144 mhz is well maintained with a USB2 cable in my case but several connections are possible. Finally good value for money (I got it at 370 eur but even at 400 eur it's still very good).
After many months of telecommuting (I was working on a Benq 24", TN, 1080p 60Hz), I decided to invest in a high end screen.
The external size of the 27" (thinned edges) is not much bigger than the 24" (wide edge from 8-10 years ago) : like 2-3 cm wide => It's passable on the WAF side :)
The workspace on the screen and the 1440p : it really changes the way you work. You can put a lot more stuff, it's more readable. There is a real comfort and efficiency added.
The level of colour contrast is much better: it's really night and day (the black is very deep). Visually, it's magnificent.
The switch to 120Hz gives a much better fluidity in game (my CG does not go beyond that)
I haven't had a chance to really try HDR.
The screen finishes are beautiful.
I am unable to say if this screen is better than its competitors or other models from ACER. It is clear that 380€ is a real budget but quality has a cost ... and in this case, I am very happy with my purchase and would never come back to a model of lesser quality
Perfect screen in every way, I'm switching from an ASUS 24" 1080p to this one.
Fast delivery in two days.
I really recommend it
The screen is great, I only had Full HD @ 60Hz before, switching to QHD at 144Hz is life changing, 27 inch is really good!
I haven't used it for gaming yet.
Be careful though, the G-Sync only works with a compatible Display port cable, so I had to buy one separately, in fact, in the box there is only an HDMI cable...
Also be careful with the VESA support, the dual-screen support I had was a few millimeters too wide, in fact, the VESA support of the screen is a bit "sunken" in the structure of the screen, so be sure to have a 100x100 stand where the screws are at the edge of the support, so I also bought a support separately ...
To conclude, it's really a nice screen, the QHD is activated after an update of the drivers, for the HDR400 it's in the settings of the screen, everything is perfect once it's set!
I am satisfied with my purchase:
- the announced specifications are very well respected
- the colorimetry is amazing (without having to touch the settings) and the rendering is very nice for both games and office use
- the HDR400 standard is well respected
- the USB 3 HUB is very practical
- the delivery was made on time, the package did not show any trace of knocks
In short, a purchase that I am delighted with and that I recommend to all those who wish to invest in a 2K 144?hz screen.
The price/performance ratio is excellent and this screen stands up to the ASUS TUF 100?€ more expensive (except that the refresh rate is a bit higher on the ASUS (165 hz). In my opinion, this does not justify the 100?€ because the difference is hardly noticeable)
