The casing is very good quality (metal), and they even give you the little screwdriver to screw it on

Very practical case for using a 2.5" hard drive on a PC without having to open the tower. What's more, it's easy on the eye.
Suitable for 9mm discs. Use a cardboard spacer if you have a 7mm disc to prevent the disc from moving inside the case.
Supplied with screwdriver and more screws than you need (in case you really do have mittens for assembly).
One point that gave me cause for concern: on two occasions I've experienced a lack of operation on certain PC USB ports, as if there wasn't enough voltage to start the drive. Curiously, I don't have the same problem with another case of a different brand.

I'm used to Advance USB3 enclosures which are perfect as long as the disk capacity doesn't exceed 1TB. I found them on LDLC at the best price. I ordered 3 at a time to minimize shipping costs.
The package arrived very quickly, although unfortunately the package was too big for the postman to put it in my standard letterbox.
This equipment is perfectly suited to its intended use and is easy to use; don't hesitate, for the price it's not worth doing without!

I bought this to put the old hard drive of my PC which I replaced with a 1TB SSD.The case is simple but practical. It comes with a mini screwdriver and screws. Very easy to install. Good value for money.
Using a Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD, no worries, good transfer rate etc. Please note the maximum capacity of 1TB indicated.

This is the second camera I've bought, it's powerful and doesn't take up any space, ideal for hdd 2.5.
I ordered a box that claims to be USB3, and I received a box that has a classic USB2 plug (7mm wide) instead of a real USB3 plug (12mm wide)... And apart from the word ADVANCE, no other engraving (or label) to know if it is a delivery error, or a false description!
I'm not sure if it's a good fit or not, but I'm sure it's a good fit. I'm very happy with this box, and for this price it's a real treat.
Used to clone a Hdd replaced by a ssd, it is perfect for 9.5 hdd. Small simple screws to close, ideal if you change the disk very rarely, avoid if you change every 2 days!

I bought this external hard drive enclosure because I put a larger capacity drive in my laptop and I wanted to use my old hard drive as external storage for archiving.
The installation of the hard drive in the enclosure is easy, everything works immediately. I am very satisfied.
The first one has a false contact and only works in a certain position, on the second case only the blue light works but the hard disk is not recognised by any operating system.
Perfect packaging. The case is well machined, the disc fits perfectly without play. Only two screws are needed to close the case and the screwdriver is supplied. As soon as you connect it, the disc is recognized. Everything works perfectly. Ideal for converting a SATA drive to USB.
Good quality case (aluminium body) immediately recognisable.
The only drawback is that it closes with 2 small screws. If you want to change the disc from time to time, it is less easy than on other cases. On the other hand, there is no risk of accidental opening during transport.

I was looking for a case with an external power supply and this is what appeared on the picture. Unfortunately this is not the case on the model I received. I've been looking for a case with an external power supply and that's what it looks like on the picture, but it doesn't work on the model I received.
The enclosure was supplied with a rather short, unduplicated USB cable: that's what I wanted.
After inserting the hard disk, it is fixed with small screws, and a small screwdriver supplied as a bonus, again this is good sense as other models with mechanical interlocking sometimes make you lose patience.

A bad contact requires the outer casing to be oriented in a certain way in order to be detected.
Put an old laptop disk in it.

This enclosure is really the best for me for 2.5" hard drives.

The USB 3.0 cable is long (60cm) unlike some manufacturers who "save" with 15cm cables.
The extra thing is that the case is made of aluminium, which allows a very good heat dissipation when the hard drive is used intensively. I've been using these enclosures with 2TB, 1TB and 500GB drives, including the 2TB for over 2 years, and it works like new.
