Perfect for my occasional use:
- Elite Dangerous is almost entirely automatically configured, a real joy especially since in game it is exactly the same controls. We see our fingers pressing the same buttons as irl! I pair it with VoiceAttack voice commands for maximum immersion in VR.
- Flight Sim/IL2: need to configure myself but once done, it's perfect.
The complaint is that they are a bit too light and can wander a bit if the flight is nervous and the joystick a bit too soft.
The X52 is not the best on the market, but it is certainly not the worst. Personally I will never recommend the T16000 hotas combo again...
For those who wish to acquire a hotas, it remains a good solution at a lower cost. Its competitor, the T1600, is less expensive but suffers from design problems. The X52's joystick is full of buttons on the grip in addition to the 6 buttons on the base. The throttle could have been a bit more extensive, it has no buttons on the base. Personally, I prefer the X52 to the hotas T1600 combo mainly for the number of buttons on the joystick grip. I have a few years of experience with the X52 Pro and I picked up a "normal" X52 after a "mechanical breakage" of the Z-axis on my X52 Pro (I abused it in dogfighting too, poor guy). In my opinion there is no difference with the X52 Pro except for the full black dress, the Chinese button/hat design and the slanted screen on the throttle base.
The + :
- Joystick well supplied with buttons.
- Suction cup for the joystick and throttle bases.
- Adjustable in all directions.
- General look (you like it or not...).
After unpacking and installation, I noticed a significant jitter on the X axis. Each time, within 5 minutes, my plane would turn to the right and crash.
I tried all soft solutions, without success.
After disassembly, I noticed a yellow wire in the air.
I resoldered the wire, and I hope to be out of trouble.

A great joystick I bought it in the middle of the year to enjoy Star Citizen and Arma 3 and I am not disappointed, it clearly meets my expectations for its price it responds very well there is a good feeling with the keys after a few hours of use. I've been using it for a while now and I'm very pleased with the quality of the product.

I have had the same x52 in the past so that's why I went back to the same one. It's a pleasure to work with, just like the pros.
Purchase for the aircraft simulation, it is compatible with FSX with however of the adjustment has to make level driver which dates a little.
It's a great tool to get the most out of your aircraft.

This is my first HOTAS, and I have to admit it's handy.
I've been using it for a while now, but it's a good idea to check it out and see if it's working.
The only complaint I have is that the suction cups provided don't lock it at all, so it slides around, so I don't use it (maybe it's due to the surface of my desk).
First Hotas for me, and I already know I can't do without it.
After a few minor delivery problems (they seem less minor at the time when the most expensive product in the order is announced but not delivered), I was able to get to know the X52.
At first you are surprised by its particularly low weight (to the point of opening the package immediately to check the contents). After that it becomes anecdotal. Most of the buttons fit quite well under the thumb or forefinger, one could regret sometimes (especially under Elite Dangerous) that there are not one or two more (which I compensate for with my Razer Tartarus Chroma).
The drivers provided on the CD are obsolete, you must go to the manufacturer's website to get a more recent version. And for my part, I tested then uninstalled the configurator, to use the one present directly in the game mentioned above.
Well, I've been using the X52 for a month now. Nothing to say. The programming is done with an ease that surprised me with regard to some comments. The whole thing keeps its promises, but you have to be careful...
The descriptions of the buttons, translated into French, are sometimes too long. It is reserved a line of 16 characters and the translation of "Pinkie" becomes "Bouton du petit Doigt" or "Little Finger Button" which is 21 characters (including spaces) and it bugs, your X52 doesn't respond anymore. To solve this problem you have to associate a button, useful or not, and rename it by your definition or "Empty" if you don't use it. There is a considerable number of programmable keys that offer a choice that only your imagination can provide.
