The Pentax WG-90 is a compact waterproof digital camera that has been designed so that every user can capture sensational moments in the great outdoors. It's designed to take the fun and excitement out of a wide range of outdoor activities, effortlessly and worry-free. It's your best adventure companion! Despite its compact, lightweight body, the WG-90 offers exceptional features that outperform ordinary digital cameras and smartphones in tough conditions. Waterproof to a depth of 14 m, it can withstand falls from a height of 1.6 m and withstand temperatures as low as -10°C. It also features a set of six Macro LED lamps whose maximum intensity has been almost doubled compared with its predecessor. This lighting even allows the photographer to adjust the power of the illumination for more convenient use at close range.
Tough enough for any situation!
The WG-90 's robust, airtight chassis makes it ideal for adventure. Waterproof to a depth of 14 metres and capable of being submerged for two hours (equivalent to IPX 8 or JIS Class 8), this device follows you to the beach, on hikes along lakes and rivers and almost encourages you to drink from the cup. It's also shock-resistant and can withstand a fall from 1.6 metres. It's also dustproof (equivalent to IP6X or JIS class 6). It can withstand freezing temperatures as low as -10°C. That is, if it's accidentally crushed. It can withstand weights of up to 100 kgf (kilogram-force). Thanks to its "foolproof" construction, the WG-90 always works superbly and reliably, even in the face of difficult and demanding outdoor conditions.
Exceptional image quality
Not only rugged, this compact camera is equipped with a 2.7" backlit screen so you can see the action clearly. Its backlit 1/2.3" format 16 megapixel CMOS sensor ensures excellent characteristics, high sensitivity and low noise. Combined with a high-performance imaging engine, this sensor offers a maximum sensitivity of ISO 6400 and very high-resolution images. It also provides advanced image processing functions, for sharper, clearer, higher-resolution images. It even offers innovative shooting features such as the Handheld Night Snap mode, which automatically produces a single, blur-free image using multiple images of the same night scene.
Get closer to the action with optical zoom
The WG-90 features a high-performance 5x optical zoom that covers a focal length of 5mm to 25mm (equivalent to approx. 28mm to 140mm in 35mm format). It can adapt to a wide range of scenes and subjects, including vast landscapes. It also offers other user-friendly shooting features such as the Intelligent Zoom function, which extends the zoom range by approximately 36 times (equivalent to 1008 mm in 35 mm format) for very high magnification telephotography without compromising image quality.

Do you like diving? The WG-90 follows you underwater and lets you take advantage of its underwater shooting mode, specially designed for underwater photography. For group photos, the WG-90 can detect up to 32 faces. It can trigger automatically when it detects a smile, and warns you when your subjects' eyes are closed. The WG-90 excels in the field of 'outdoor' photography, but it also shows great things when it comes to video. Indeed, it offers you the possibility of filming sequences in Full HD at 30 frames per second.
