Order received on time, product compliant. The product was simple and the service excellent.....
Used for a Windows 11 installation key, operation carried out without any problems, good value for money.
The speed is insufficient for what I want to do (connection to a TV).
The speed sold is up to 100MB for writing.
The speed measured with "ATTO Disk Benchmark" varies from 220kB/s (ultra low) for 512B files to 47.67MB/s for 64MB files (a long way from the 100MB/s in the description).
=> I'll never buy another USB flash drive from LDLC again.
Ultra-fast USB flash drive, with a comfortable capacity - but beware of the usual GB-GiB correction, there are actually 460GB available on this drive.
Also notable is its ultra-compact size, 40mm (length) x 12mm (width) x 5mm (thickness), so be careful not to lose it ;)
This key does exactly what it says:
- 512 GB of data (so much data in such a small volume is impressive)
- USB 3 connection
- Peak read speed of over 200 MB/s and write speed of over 150 MB/s
But the big drawback is that you generally use a drive like this to store large files or lots of data, and after a few seconds of transfer (read or write) the data rate plummets to 10MB/s or even 3MB/s... so you need to be patient.
Admittedly, this respects the specifications (which only concern the theoretical throughput of USB 3 connectivity) but it's unusable in practice (even if it doesn't need to have the same performance as an external SSD, it would be nice if it could do better than an external HDD with real disks running ... 80MB/s in general)
