Very good equipment.
The picture.
- The Direct LED backlighting produces bright, high-contrast images.
- Colours are vivid and blacks are deep for this type of screen.
- The "X1" processor delivers detailed, accurate images, even with low-definition sources, and supports HDR 10 / HLG and HDR Dolby Vision content, giving quality contrast and rich, nuanced colours.
- The panel performs extremely well with video games and films.
Audio.
- The speakers use "X-Balanced Speaker" technology, delivering high-quality sound.
- Compatible with a wide range of audio codecs: AC3 / DTS / DTS-HD HRA / DTS-HD MA / Dolby Atmos ... etc ...
- Dolby Atmos" audio format management creates a fairly enveloping sound, but with only two speakers, the effect is almost non-existent.
Connections.
- Two HDMI 2.0 sockets and two HDMI 2.1 sockets (4K / 60 Hz max.), one of which is eARC (enhanced Audio Return Channel) compatible for simplified connection to a home cinema amplifier, for example. And, of course, an aerial socket.
- Equipped with a Toslink optical digital audio output, and Bluetooth for connecting compatible wireless headphones, for example.
- Two USB ports for connecting USB sticks or HDDs, to record TV programmes and play digital files (photos / films / music). The USB ports can also be used to connect a keyboard/mouse, handy for navigating menus.
Settings.
- Several image settings are available for each connector (very important for films): brightness/colour/sharpness/motion/video signal/advanced colour settings.
- Brightness sensor / Auto sleep / Clock / ECO Control Centre ... etc ...
In short, it's a very good screen giving a very nice image, both for my Blu-ray player and my PC. It remains to be seen whether it will last.
