Excellent screen
For office use, working comfort has been taken to the next level, with very clear text and the ability to display two programs side by side in A4 format. Compared with older screens, the difference is clear.
The screen settings and programme sleep mode are controlled by buttons and a joystick in the bottom centre. Very practical.
This monitor was intended to replace a television at the end of its life, but as I don't need a TV tuner, I was attracted by its hybrid multimedia monitor aspect. I use the PS5 + BluRay player + smart TV and for these functions this monitor is very effective. The use of USB C (also possible wirelessly) to connect/display a PC is a feature that I quickly adopted too.
The fact that I can connect my Bluetooth headphones directly to the system is also a great convenience, which means I don't have to use wired headphones as I used to.
In terms of image quality, the tests I read here and there made me very sceptical about the product. In the end, the display is magnificent, the colours are beautiful and the contrasts aren't as bad as I'd read, they're still good, even in a dark room. So I'm very happy with the picture quality (after a few adjustments).
As for sound, I mainly use an amp or Bluetooth headphones... But from what little I've been able to test, in a bedroom, the built-in speakers are clear and very adequate as long as you don't turn the volume up to the maximum.
The smart TV part is so pleasant that I'm going to give up my Android TV dongle. The OS is nice but I'm not so convinced about the ergonomics, especially when it comes to accessing options. Accessing the menus requires a few manipulations before you get to the end if you don't use the automatic source change. I would have liked easier and more direct access to the choice of sources and settings.
This brings me to the point that disappointed me the most: the remote control. It's compact, light and has a rechargeable battery (USB C port), which is good... But it looks a bit 'cheap', with the buttons too close together. No source or settings buttons. There are shortcuts to compensate, but they're not very practical.
I'm still very satisfied with the product/image quality and its versatility, despite the nice but not perfect ergonomics.
I switched from a 32" screen to a 43" for greater visual comfort when editing photos, and I don't regret it. The picture quality is excellent and there's no eyestrain, even when the screen is close to the eyes. The channels accessible via the smartmonitor function are very pleasant. A multitude of programmes are available, and in HD to boot.
