    Perfect as a media server

    Bought on special offer to replace my ageing HTPC (Core i5-7400) which is starting to suffer from the new codecs (multiple transcode hevc and av1 decoding...), it's exactly what I was looking for. It's ultra-compact, and yet you can fit 2 storage devices in it (M.2 + 2.5"), a 2.5Gb port for a local/internet network that's faster than the good old Gb, USB-C 3.1, an IGP that decodes all the latest codecs, Wifi 6 if you need it, and a cpu that's not too greedy with a nice reserve of power for lots of little things on the side. Really, that's all I needed.

    Disappointment: incompatible with hdd/ssd 9.5mm, contrary to Asus documentation

    I ordered this mini PC instead of a cheaper competitor's model because the Asus documentation (and therefore also the LDLC data sheet) stated that it supports hdd and 2.5" 9.5mm ssd. After receiving and unpacking, the information is confirmed in the paper documentation I receive, but no such 9.5 mm drive fits (tests with 3 different models of different brands). I contact Asus technical support who tells me that the mini PC only has "[one] M.2 2280 port to install a PCIe NVMe SSD up to 1TB and [one] slot to install a 2.5" 7mm HDD for a maximum size of 1TB (also)". This contradicts the documentation. The information on the maximum capacity also leaves me doubtful.
