This case, plus a ventirad for maximum fresh air, plus the air conditioning, I can't tell you how cool my processor and my CG are!
Motherboard of very poor quality, I do not recommend it, and it needs a BIOS update for the 13i generation processors, and to do this you need a 12th generation processor in the socket.
It is possible to do this by going to LDLC, the price of the intervention is 25 euros. think of asking LDLC to update the BIOS of your motherboard before sending it to you if you have a processor of 13th generation
I am facing exactly the same problem as "Foncteur". As explained, the card sold so far is not compatible with 13th generator processors (in my case I5-13600KF) and needs a BIOS update! But of course, you have to start with a 12th generator processor to do the update. It is therefore complicated to find a solution to this problem, as computer shops do not necessarily have the parts in stock to do it for you. The easiest solution is to go to an LDLC shop but when you live in the middle of nowhere, it is difficult to travel 100Km for a motherboard upgrade...
The 3/5 rating is mainly on the penalizing aspect of this very very VERY constraining update...
Three stars: this is not for the quality of the product, NO, but to point out the following fact:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
you MUST flash the bios in order for your brand new 13th generation CPU to be recognized... But as there is no flash button on this model, the only AND only way to achieve this is to temporarily install a 12th generation CPU (so socket 1700) instead of your 13th generation CPU. (No need to try with a usb key containing the bios update file or anything else, it won't work and don't waste your time with YouTube!)
MSI France and LDLC's after-sales service quickly confirmed that there was no other way to flash the motherboard. So, it's imperative to take the option to have your BIOS flashed by LDLC (even if it will lengthen the delay to receive it), otherwise the mini CPU light of the motherboard will light up and you'll be left contemplating your CPU without being able to go any further.
