The K-1 Mark II features afull-frame 36mm CMOS sensor that delivers the highest image quality in the K-mount SLR line-up. This pixel-rich sensor delivers true-to-life images with rich nuances and minimal noise. Its shallow depth of field allows you to control distance and bokeh effects as you wish.
With 36.4 effective megapixels, this model produces breathtaking images. The AA filter simulator effectively reduces moiré and colour artefacts by using the SR mechanism to apply microscopic vibrations to the sensor during shooting.

To reproduce vivid colours and rich, lifelike gradations at all sensitivities, the PENTAX K-1 Mark II features a unique accelerator unit that efficiently processes the signal from the image sensor before passing it to the image processor.
This flow improves both image resolution and colour reproduction at high sensitivities, while greatly reducing noise compared to the PENTAX K-1. It also allows the maximum sensitivity to be extended to ISO 819, 200 for superb photography at extreme sensitivities.
Controlled environment
The SR II stabilisation mechanism has 5 correction axes and is precisely controlled from the moment you start your camera. This system covers a compensation range of up to 5 shutter speeds for ideal handheld photography.
Pentax has designed an ideal LCD monitor by creating an innovative hinged mechanism that supports the monitor with four clamps. You can even tilt the screen up to almost 90° for ground-level or waist-level shooting. Finally, the K-1 Mark II's body is made of a lightweight, highly rigid magnesium alloy that offers excellent resistance to shock and electromagnetic interference.
