High performance
The AA filter-free design of the PENTAX KF maximises the resolving power of the approximately 24.24 effective megapixels provided by the high-resolution APS-C sized CMOS image sensor, while ensuring fast readout of the richly graded 14-bit image data.
Thanks to the combination of the PRIME MII imaging engine and the Acceleration Unit, which effectively suppresses noise, the PENTAX KF ensures faithful rendering of gradations and textures at all sensitivity levels.
Integrated stabilisation
The PENTAX KF features the original PENTAX SR (Shake Reduction) mechanism with a compensation effect of 4.5 shutter steps. It works effectively with all PENTAX interchangeable lenses and minimises camera shake in shaky conditions, such as when shooting low-light scenes using only natural light or when using a telephoto lens.
Variable-angle LCD screen + high performance viewfinder
The PENTAX KF's variable-angle LCD screen allows you to position it at any desired angle, making it easy to compose images in a variety of shooting applications.This makes it easy to compose images for a variety of outdoor live-view shooting applications, such as shooting from a height with outstretched arms or shooting low-angle from the ground.
With a field of view of approximately 100% and a magnification of up to 0.95 times (with an FA 50mm F1.4 lens set to infinity), the PENTAX KF's viewfinder offers a wide, clear view of the subject, allowing you to capture it exactly as you wish.
Ready for any environment
The PENTAX KF incorporates 100 pieces of waterproofing throughout its body, including the LCD screen, to prevent water and dust from entering. Combined with a PENTAX AW or WR series lens, you have a highly reliable and environmentally resistant imaging system.
It has been subjected to rigorous environmental testing at temperatures as low as -10°C. Its reliable cold weather performance ensures stable, responsive and high-precision operation of mechanisms and circuits, while minimising battery voltage fluctuations, even in icy locations.
