Works great, been using 24/7 for a few months. I had no problems with IPMI, 10gb ports (they use an Intel chipset so no wonder)... The bios is not lacking in options.
A little clarification, the mini-SAS ports (SFF-8643) are indeed SATA only. If you connect them to a SAS backplane it doesn't work at all.
