I had a RIG 500 headset, the sound was much better for music with its dedicated software, but this one has a button to mix between music-sound and speech-sound for the chat. The problem is that the leather inside has cracked and I don't know why, and the plastic at the base of the speaker is already broken and again I don't know why...
Worn for almost a year, this headset gives excellent results in sound and listening performance. When used in telecommuting meetings, it captures the slightest breath and its microphone perfectly reproduces what you say.
BUT: its (extremely) weak point: the rotation of the headphones, a little too loose and the incredible thinness of the envelope of the articulation (not even 1mm!) which allows it.
By dint of swivelling during storage, and under the strain of the cumulative weight of the connection cable, the envelope of the rotation axis of the left earphone has broken, making it impossible to use the headphones. It is currently being glued in a fixed position so that it can continue to be used, but I remain rather disappointed with this mechanical "obsolescence". A few mm more, a less fragile material,... and it was perfection.
